The pediatrician(Dr. Kim) is good but waits always long and visits are two hours plus! It's annoying to sit in a lobby for an hour plus past appt time or sit in a room knowing they'll get to ya a couple hours PAST your appt time.
Additionally, when you go to the pediatrician office they have a really rude paper up in all the rooms. It says to NOT change your child's butt or throw diapers away. It's disgusting to have this up especially when we bring our newborn children in. You want me to do what? Take all my things , my child now in a diaper per your request, and go all the way to the bathroom in hopes of a changing table. Then I'm not allowed to throw away the diaper so I must bag it to take home..it's just a bit crazy for a pediatrician office. In my two hours I wait, you want me to run back and forth with a baby, carrier, diaper bag, and all other items I carry. I must carry these items totaling more than I'm allowed to carry in first place and carry more than necessary to convince you
Wait wasn't long with previous obgyn but I had a bad experience with a staff member when I called to see if my symptoms was labor or normal. I was told to take Tylenol and lay down or go hospital. That was fine but what wasn't was they wouldn provide me a work excuse although telling me not to go to work. I ended up hospitalized and was sin fact in labor.
Then my labor experience could of been better. I delivered at spohn South and wasn't a fan of how weisenburger and team told me to hold my breath and spoke to me during the push phase where I was in awful pain with the epidural NOT working at all!
Office staff was friendly from the moment I walked in. Brenda greeted me with kindness and made me feel.so welcome. Janalee Webb FNPC was absolutely the sweetest and so kind. I absolutely reccommend this clinic. Thank you for treating me so well today!
The lady at the front desk deserves a raise! Wow! So nice. Can handle 6 things at once going on and is so genuinely pleasant! Her name is Teresa!
Another young worker came out of a side room and was being bossy, mean and disrespectful to her! Pretty sure she could not even attempt to do Teresa’s job! The other workers there are great tho! Nice place!
The receptionist when u walk in is very happy polite helpfull seems to love her job. Always knows us by name makes it easier to see the Dr knowing shes there been coming every month for two yrs
It was our first visit to Amistad Health.
It was so nice to be greeted by a friendly person, Teresa. She was so helpful telling us where to go and where we needed to wait. On the way out she used my name and tell me to be careful, have a nice evening, and goodbye.
She was very professional.
It warmed my heart for her to be so kind.
The one thing that I really like about Amistad is that they are quick to do whatever it is that you feel you need. If you go in with a list of ailments and problems that you've been facing for a while or whatever and tell them everything that is going on with you, they will start knocking them out one by one within the same visit. I have gone to the Hector P. Garcia and been with other doctors and they do everything piecemeal. They're not going to address all the things that you feel are wrong with you in one visit but they're going to do things one little visit at a time. It's almost like they want to rack up as many visits as they possibly can to get paid. It always comes down to money. I feel that Amistad and the staff want to get out as much information from you as possible of what's going on with you. And then next thing you know you're getting orders for tests to fix the problems. I got a mammogram order, blood panel order and I got orders for my CPAP machine. It was everything I had a problem with or that I needed to catch up with, such as the yearly mammogram, they took care of it all in one visit. The nurse practitioner I saw was Araceli Hernandez. She is fabulous. The whole staff is really great and friendly.
