Best WLM Reviews

Leah was our server.. LOVED her honestly!! The food was FRESH & FULL of flavor!! My NEW FAVORITE restaurant in East TN!! Can’t wait to go back & bring friends!! The fried green tomatoes were the best we ever had! We chose the daily special for both our entrees & it was amazing!! We aren’t dessert people per se, but everything was so delicious we couldn’t resist!! Ohhhh so GOOD!! All of it!!! ????
This is a touristy place and the prices were pretty high.
The food was good but not spectacular. I had the smothered chicken. It was good and grilled. For sides I had the slaw and pasta salad. The pasta salad tasted good. I had to send away the slaw because it was too vinegary making it taste as if it was old so I asked for fries instead. The fries were good. They tasted like Penn Station but they were bigger and more salty. The sweet tea was weak and I had to add 2 packets of sweetener.
The scenery was nice. Where we were seated we could see a waterfall. It's nice quiet place but not worth coming back too.
This place is quaint and out of the way but a bit touristy. The tea is a little weak, the coleslaw is a bit vinegary, The fries are excellent although may be over-salted, catfish was very good and the smothered chicken was very good. For this area, it's a little pricey, although in some areas you would think it was quite cheap. The scenery is worth the price, except you can't eat scenery.
My husband and I found a gem in an out of the way restaurant with a view. My husband had the smoked pork and slaw and they brought out a savory chiabotta bread that he said was wonderful. I’m gluten free and enjoyed the special which was pan seared cod on quinoa and a side of crispy Brussels sprouts. We shared cheesecake for dessert. Everything was great tasting. The regular menu was reasonable price but the special was a bit pricey. The atmosphere was very pleasant and had a good vibe. We will be back with family even though it takes almost an hour for us from home.
The food was amazing! I had the special, and it simply melted in my mouth. Will definitely have to stop here again when I come back out this way.
So Friday, March 29 we were on our way again this time we went to Rogersville Tennessee. We found Amos Mill eatery so we decided to go there and have couple appetizers and we shared one meal and they don’t serve any alcohol but you are allowed to bring beer, wine, or liquor to the establishment they have a $10 corking fee And we were like well we’re not having anything that has a cork the girl told us we could bring our beers in but she didn’t say that they would charge you the $10 corking fee to bring your beer in so we found that on our receipt at the end of the meal so I ordered the cheese sticks with some marinara sauce as my appetizer my wife ordered the fried green tomatoes with a remoulade sauce as her appetizer, we shared a pulled pork barbecue sandwich and fries. Everything look good when the food was delivered, though as we got to my appetizer, I noticed the cheese sticks were actually round patties, which I really liked unfortunately, they poured the marinara sauce over the top of them, instead of a side condiment of marinara sauce so they were a little soggy they weren’t crispy like a cheese stick should be, but they were good. I would order them but this time I would tell him to leave the marinara sauce separate the fried green tomatoes had good flavor, they were crispy when they first came out and then we noticed no sauce, but they were stacked up and then we noticed the sauce was in between each tomato which made the bottom of that one and the top of the other one soggy so all the tomatoes got soggy before she could even eat them all so they need to give the sauce on side the french fries were hot, but my opinion were a little overdone. The pulled pork had good flavor, but it was dry and I didn’t care for the barbecue sauce but all in all everything had good flavor. Just it needs to be presented different sauces on the side, and the pork needs to be more moist always save the pork juice when you’re done so the meat can soak in. It works much better for me. We will go back and I will order them again. I’ll just have them do things different but I didn’t agree with us. The $10 fee they should’ve told us that they’re gonna charge you $10 for bringing in your alcohol wine or beerall in all place to go on the weekend and nice scenery across the street waterfalls and all I will post pictures but just so you know, we will go back and try other things and try again. We went to other places that day in Rogersville. Stay tuned for that post.
I'd give it a 4.5 stars if the option was available. It has beautiful surroundings overlooking the dam, friendly staff, and pretty good food. The only thing is I prefer the okra to be a little more golden and the broccoli was drained more. It was cooked perfectly, it was just a little wet. The rest was delicious. I will add that the smothered chicken also includes mushrooms.... I just don't care for them so I ordered the food without them. It has a couple indoor tables, several covered outdoor tables, and also some that were uncovered. It was cute that they had it seasonally decorated as well.
Cute little cafe in the historic Amis Mills grounds. The food was amazing! Eat lunch outside and have a view of the damn/waterfall. It’s summer so the waterfall is low but the views are still really pretty. I highly recommend the Brussels Sprouts. Yum!
