Best WLM Reviews
This restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall and I’m glad we saw it when shopping at Woodcraft. From the hearty and well spiced sauce to the beef enchiladas, everything was excellent. I had the vegetarian quesadilla, which was packed with mushrooms, spinach, onion and cheese. The tortilla was grilled to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. My husband had the soggy tacos, which he declared the best he has had. They were flowing over with steak and drizzled with their spicy sauce. He could not finish the order. My granddaughter had two beef enchiladas, which had a generous portion of beef and a light red sauce. She could only eat one. With cheese dip and 3 entrees, our tab was $53 with tip. Our server was very attentive and food arrived quickly and steaming hot. Great parking close to the front door.
Order by calling in. Picked up & got home with 2/3 of the order wrong. Called to check, manager asked my # 6 times & blamed me for the food being incorrect due to their menu online changing 3 years ago. Negative 3 stars if I could rate that way. She wouldn’t even both to fix it & continued blaming me for their mistakes. What little food I ordered that was right was extremely cold and had to be reheated. They just lost the rest of my business. Very unhelpful and rude management.
I admin, I was not in the best frame of mind when I went here. I am dieting and had gone WAY too long with my last meal. The staff, was REALLY friendly and helpful, and the place was extremely clean. We were quickly seated and brought chips and salsa. The chips were fresh and the salsa was SO good, I didn't even have to do my customary "throw hot sauce at it". So far, so good. I ordered shrimp and bacon tacos. WOW, it was REALLY good. Good enough I didn't even miss the typical fried beans one normally gets! The rice was quite good as well. The sauce serviced with it was a little sweet, and I was almost turned off by it, but with the bacon and shrimp it totally worked. I don't get to this area often, but now I have a good solid eatery to go to!
Little to no wait time, good service, and great, quality food
Food portions were large. Service was very good. Most dishes are too spicy even if they are not described as spicy on the menu. Even the salsa is too spicy to enjoy.
I order steak fajitas. And it was not like normal Mexican restaurants. I ate it but I didnt not care for it. Looked liked it was just cooked on the stove. And was serviced on a plate with my rice and beans..
My family and I haven been going to this Amigos Brainerd location for years, but we haven’t been in a long time. So we decided to go back to eat there for a midweek Mexican meal. We went last night and first thing we noticed was that the prices on the menu have doubled. The service was very slow and needs improvement. My dad and I ordered a half order of grilled chicken nachos, which to our knowledge used to be on a circular plate that had the chips covered in cheese sauce with toppings, but now it’s served on a small silver tray that was appetizer size. There was not enough cheese on the nachos so the chips were dry and we had to get two extra cheese dips to (which costs $6.00 EACH) just to have enough cheese on our nachos. Dad and I also barely had any chicken on our CHICKEN nachos that we ordered. Another issue I had was that I went to the women’s restroom and saw a dead cockroach on the light in the ceiling (how disgusting????????) which I hoped and prayed they don’t have live cockroaches in their kitchen (a little concerning)???? not sure if we will ever be back because we were so disappointed in what used to be one of our favorite Mexican go-to! ????
Chinichangas were awesome. Waiter kept my tea full and was very professional. I will be back and try other dishes. The whole staff was pleasant. Try this place, I don't think you will be disappointed.
