I have been too many cheap motels across the country and by far this was the absolute worst. I’d rather sleep in a trap house !!! I ended up leaving in the middle of the night . I was terrified to even take my clothes off and step into that shower. The office upfront is super clean where they live, but the room was just horrible. The walls are covered in different color fluids and dirt , curtains are 40+ years old, broken furniture, floors wavy from water damage an much more. I don’t see how this is even legal . It was almost anti-American to just let people rent a room a 67 a night a walk into that. I’m not even picky at all but my God.
We didn't stay here because we have family local but this is on the top of my list in the local area if bring I friends to stay and enjoy the hiking and views.
We came for the lunch buffet and it was great despite the staff being a bit overwhelmed by the number of guests.
The food was very good, our server, a tall gentleman was prudent and polite without hovering, flawless service.
The bird of prey exhibited at the lodge by Andrea and Kyle was a pleasant experience that I hope continues.
The only reason I gave it 1 star is because I had to. I stayed here for a week and on day one I found bed bugs, the owner would not refund my money, then was charged to wash the sheets that came in the room, not to mention that he made me spray and clean my own room due to the bugs, and then to top it all off the owner asked me(a visitor) to clean out a fridge that had molded meat in it, because he couldnt touch it due to his religious views. This place is the nastiest place on the face of the earth, they should be shut down for the bugs alone, but to ask your visitors to work for their stay is really despicable, who does that????
There was blood on the sheets. The room was cold. The filter hadn't been changed in the heating unit and so long you couldn't even see what color it was. Absolutely disgusting
Didn't stay because found bed bugs. Wife is trained to look for them. Found them instantly under sheets. Thankful we didn't end up with them. Went to Dawson village inn and it was very nice.
Have to admit this place has changed over the course of 2 years ! They've updated thier bathroom with showers and replaced the carpet with a nice hard floor. This is a family runner place, we see them helping people all the time. I know people expect a full service hotel, but this place is definitely cleaner than the super 8, and the owners and cleaners are always working hard to keep it clean post thier update.
This place is absolutely disgusting my wife and I had to go to the office and get cleaning spray to clean out the microwave I would not boil a cup of water it was so disgusting there were buggers snot on the shower door and on a pillow case. This. Place. Can be so. Nice Clint Eastwood. Made a move. There Y. Not. Clean it up. Let the. Public. Know with nice. Billboard clean up. The. Rooms. Unbelievable. How. Dirty. This place was. Or. Is. Gross. Gross. ????
This is place is an absolute money saver, we were here for work and need a place that was clean to stay which was affordable. We were able to stay for a week, the staff is kind and helpful at anytime. For the rate don't expect alot, but expect a kind small business.
