Just an amazing place to stay. We have been to the lodge many times when we have come to the falls. It’s a beautiful view and we have always wanted to stay here. We finally got to but with our luck it rained and the view was not to great. They lodge was awesome though. We room was perfect. We stayed in a Jr. suite. The staff at the restaurant were so friendly. We have to specifically give a mention to Fatima at the front desk! She was amazing!! Best customer service I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait for our next stay.
Beautiful location with access to waterfall - which was stunning! Loved the cabin which was beside our other family cabins and they have firewood outside for easy access. You can make a fire outside or inside. Our cabin had two fireplaces and a large jetted tub, two bedrooms/bathrooms and nice size kitchen with appliances, plates, etc. Definitely enjoyed our stay!
Absolutely gorgeous location with stunning views of the sunset, the blood moon, and the comet. The comfort food was excellent. Personally I liked the buffet style, because everything was done so perfectly. Good salad bar too, I especially loved the homemade picked peppers. Decent beer selection.
When my wife and I were there, there was also a conference going on. The restaurant was short staffed, like a lot of places these days. The head waiter was called in on her day off, and people were filling in from the front desk and other parts of the business. They held it together and did fine. I heard some people complaining but I didn’t feel like we had to wait for anything. Only suggestion I would make is to put out a drink station so people can fill their own drinks.
Went to the lodge restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner while we were in N. Georgia. We made a reservation for 2:30 and arrived at 2pm. We were told to wait in the line to be seated. Turns out that everyone was in this line, those with and without reservations. I was never asked if I had reservation so everyone in line ahead of us got seated. What's the point of a reservation if you can get seated without one. We stood in line for over an hour before we were seated. Not fun when you have a one and a half and three year old. The tables were way too close to each other in order to cram as many people as they could into the dining room. We had to turn some of our chairs sideways to make it work. The food was ok, our server was very nice. The view from the patio was great. Overall, it's just not a very relaxing experience. Would not recommend for a holiday meal. I'm sure it's fine on a normal day.
Incredible views! The lodge rooms are lovely and clean. The food at the lodge is delicious and the staff is super accommodating and friendly. They also have cabins which are so cute with nice decks and incredible views. Guided hikes and ziplining are available. The waterfall is amazing. Perfect for a romantic getaway or group events.
I had a thanksgiving getaway family reunion here. The first nights dinner was great and the views from the hotel are nice. The staff at the restaurant were very stressed out from our party of 25-30 people, often forgetting drinks this was not an issue. The hotel staff were pretty laid back and kind, but the thanksgiving dinner did not meet expectations, there wasn’t any mac n cheese which is the biggest safety item when all else is not to expectations, they had a dinner specifically for our group, the steak was good, the salad bar was decent, the mac n cheese missing was disappointing. The next day the breakfast by menu was not good, the next day the buffet breakfast was good we liked that. The restaurant was a hit or miss. The hotel rooms and cleanliness is the reason for my 3 star review, we had all of our 15+ rooms that we were paying $250 a night for all not have vents in the restrooms and curtains swapped out due to mold to be replaced by curtains that still had mold. The hotel rooms had collected dust on the counters and there were webs in the main hallways along the stairs, and meeting space downstairs was never cleaned. Hotel needs to invest heavily into remodeling the restrooms to have vents, I am absolutely certain there is mold in more places in the hotel than not and would not be shocked if it’s not just the shower curtains. Please hire your own investigator to check the cleanliness of the rooms with a uv light and have an inspection for mold. I would suggest coming here for the restaurant and views but not staying until hotel management addresses the mold and cleanliness issue…
This place sits at the top of Amicalola falls. The view from the dining area is spectacular, especially at sunset. This is what we enjoyed. We had the dinner buffet- it was very sad- fried catfish and coconut shrimp with a small unimpressive salad bar. Definitely not worth the price. While dining outside at " reserved" tables people would walk past your table and stand in front of your sunset view.
2 days prior to our sunset dinner we had inquired about rooms or cabins at the front desk. The desk clerk told us the rooms for$400 a night, without waiting for my reply this person looked at me and my son, whom been hiking, said " I can tell you're not interested in amenities, I'd look further down the road, it's more budget friendly".
After experiencing the sunset partial view buffet dining.... you're right.... you're establishment wasn't for us!
My recent stay at the Amicalola Falls Lodge was an unforgettable experience! Nestled in the breathtaking North Georgia Mountains, the lodge offers stunning views and a serene atmosphere that truly makes it a perfect getaway.
Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, who embodied Southern hospitality at its finest. The facilities are well-maintained, offering a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The rooms are spacious and cozy, with large windows that provide spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.
One of the highlights of my stay was exploring the nearby trails, including the approach to Amicalola Falls, which is a must-do for any visitor. The hike was invigorating, and the sight of the waterfall was absolutely stunning.
I would also like to take a moment to recognize Bryant, one of the incredible employees at the lodge. His friendliness and willingness to help made our stay that much more enjoyable. Bryant went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. His knowledge and passion for the area truly enhanced our experience.
Overall, I highly recommend Amicalola Falls Lodge for anyone looking to unwind in nature while enjoying exceptional service. I can’t wait to return for another special stay!
