The food is pretty good but not best, which is understandable because it’s one of the cheaper sushi places around since they have to keep costs low for the student and nurse population.
Anyway, I visit sometimes because I love Japanese food and my niece attends UCLA. There is this one server girl that’s always there when I go named Iris. She’s provided excellent service each time we go, and knows the menu very well, commendably enough to help us out on our recent trip with my dad there who has weird allergies. She ‘s funny too. Asking us after we feast ourselves if we want a second round of food. Ha!

The California rolls and California Tempura rolls were sour (the rice). Not a big fan of the taste. Wouldn't recommend.
Very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Loved the upstairs and the majestic staircase. Felt like you were in a different country. Food was very affordable and they had quality sushi that left my belly full.
Went with a party of 16 and they were very accommodating . Service was fast. Price was on the higher side. However, the sushi was bigger than expected and very filling. The fish tasted fresh and the rice was perfect.
Got in the restaurant with my daughter, asked the menu, another person came and I asked if I could use the restroom, the hosts said sorry but her boss was there and she couldn't let me use it. Honestly, whatever I wanted to order, I didn't want anymore, who refuses a restroom for a possible client with a kid? She even suggested me to go to Starbucks, we were in Cava before, we just went back there...I am just shamed that someone can do that...why?
I enjoy eating here when they serve their happy hour menu. The rolls are tasty, as are the cooked dishes I’ve had. I haven’t tried the sushi or sashimi and can’t speak for them. The price/quality ratio is pretty good for the happy hour menu, but I think is off for their standard prices.
Great happy hour and good sushi. Service was great and the outdoor seating had great people watching. Bento box had good value and lots of food.
Possibly the worst service I’ve ever experienced in my life. I went here to eat sushi with my family, since I have a seafood allergy so I brought my own food and made sure to eat outside so as to not disturb anyone. I was the only one with outside food, everyone else ordered from the restaurant. The server came and advised me that I’m not allowed to bring outside food but this time was ok due to my condition. After a while of eating it came to pay. The owner himself came out and slammed the credit card reader on the desk and told me I couldn’t eat outside food, he insisted that I could not eat outside so I put my food in its bag and said sorry. He then charged me and when he go the receipt he threw it at me. THREW IT AT ME. And then he said it was common sense to not eat outside food there. I’m shocked and appalled that this could even happen to me at a restaurant. Even after the fact I put my food away and apologized, even though I felt as if it was reasonable since I have a fish allergy, he proceeded to slam a card reader in my face and throw the receipt at me. THE MANAGER. Crazy. Never coming here again. Telling everyone I know to not come here.
