What can I say it's been over 10 years since l've been coming here. Let's say things have changed a lot, name changed from pro bowler to Catherine Hill for starters lol. (Couldn't get stats on Lanetalk) Ok besides the point I just want to show how much I care and support everyone who works here.
People come and people go, but every staff member I've meet always seems down to earth and fun to be around. I've made my mistakes, but I'm glad I still am able to bowl here. Thank you for everything. -Catherine Hill aka Pro bowler
Huge bowling alley w/many lanes (~52). Food is not bad but expensive esp if feeding a family of four - could easily run you $65 - but also depends on what you order. Bar area $12-15 for a shot but it was a decent size shot (prices just went up). Overall, like most places, once in a while it's worth it but it could hit your pockets if it's a regular thing. Friendly staff. Many arcade games. Plenty of parking. Second photo is a panorama view starting from lane 2 or 3 looking down to the rest of the lanes.
I grew up in town, I always enjoy this bowling alley. It's not fancy but it's perfect for a bowling and hangout. You can just ask for the bumpers and the ramp for young kids at no charge. They have an arcade with about ten games, which is perfect so you don't spend a million dollars there. It's great to relax and bring the kids with no pressure. Plenty of parking. Bathrooms weren't the cleanest however it's not a fancy place. I enjoy it
Like the old show Cheers, Linda and all the staff members warm my heart, as they welcomes me by name, each time I come to attempt to beat my bowling high score. It’s nice to go where everyone knows your name. That’s customer service, at it’s finest! AMF Strathmore Lanes has the best staff and is full of high energy, great music, clean lanes, bathroom, great food, drinks and arcade, family fun for everyone! Thank you!
Went in on a busy Saturday night and was surprised at the quality of the service the staff was able to give me given how busy they were. Hot fresh food, clean environment, quality bowling and a solid staff worthy of my time to do a review. Keep up the good work! If you’re looking for a weekend spot to spend your time locally, this place is it!
I spoke to Jenn at the pro shop who was knowledgeable and very helpful. She actually watched me bowl for several frames and offered tips. Then, she picked out several types of balls that would not just be improving my game but adapted with me and keep working while I'm improving. I ended up with a Hammer, Black Widow off the shelf. She measured and changed my old measurements. Then drilled it and had me bowl a game after to see an immediate improvement from my 30yr old Hammer nail ball. Of at least 25% increase in my previous frames score, and I wasn't even used to the ball yet. Jenn! Great job! ????????
A very average bowling alley. My partner had a poor experience with the bartender here and her review was removed. As a result I'm not sure how comfortable I feel coming back. The lanes are not quite the best quality and it largely depends on the night that you come here. It's unfortunate as this is one of the more accessible bowling lanes in the area.
I also noticed that I left a review for the pro shop, and that review was removed at some point with no notification on my end.
Below, I am pasting the review that my partner left in the interest of transparency. This poor experience made me change my previous rating of ~4 stars to 1 or 2 stars. There is quite a bit of room for improvement in this location and the management of it.

this was my second time visiting, me and my bf were in the mood for a drink so while i set up our lane i sent him to fetch us some beers. he returned with only 1 drink and i asked what happened? he said the woman tending the bar said only one drink at a time. we were both confused as we saw the person next to us come back multiple times to his lane with about 6 beers. so i got up and went to Michelle with extreme kindness, and very kindly asked in a soft tone about the policy. i said "My bf was just here and was only given one drink. Could you please explain the policy to me as its confusing to see the person next to us come back with a lot of beers". as soon as i was done Michelle went into flight or fight mode and started talking to me in a very hostile manner. she talked to me so defensive and irate that i blacked out while she was talking because i couldn't believe someone was talking to me crazy off of a question i asked kindly. i did not approach her and accuse her of anything. at the end of the day she is doing her job and i can not fault her for that so i am very confused as to why she was talking to me like that. i kindly stopped her and i kindly told her in a normal adult tone that she was talking to me in a hostile manner. i said "hey you're' talking to me very hostile, please watch the way you speak to me because i did not approach you badly or accuse you of anything and you're talking to me very defensively" She denied she was talking to me rude and started raising her voice at me saying she id everyone at the lane that's why they have all those beers and its only one drink per ID. she kept on denying that she was talking to me rude at this point there were other people at the bar witnessing her talking to me crazy. so i said to her "You are talking to me very hostile and if you feel like i talked to you rude i'm going to apologize because maybe i'm not seeing me from the outside but you not seeing yourself from my perspective and from my point of view your talking to me crazy". At this point she started to flash crazy eyes at me and just saying "uh uh uh" really fast. you can tell she was talking shit about me in her mind and hoping i would just shut the hell up. she did not apologize and i just walked away from the conversation. my whole night was ruined and i could not bowl well because i kept thinking about this interaction. my bf advised me to talk to a manager. Still, i did not feel comfortable talking to a manager because someone who acts the way Michelle did probably gets away with her behavior and i strongly believe nothing would of been done especially since she took no accountability whatsoever. i do not plan on returning to this establishment and i hope Michelle seeks the help she needs because clearly she been through traumatic events in her life that at a simple question, she goes straight into flight or fight mode.
Placebo great place to bowl, food and beer reasonable. Prive was a little high. But I got 40$ off will my military discount. The honor veterans.
