I stayed 3 nights on 2 occasions in the last week. My review is based on the VALUE this establishment afforded me.
*The rooms were both exceptionally CLEAN;
*The furnishings included a real coffee maker, a refrigerator and a microwave at no additional charge;
*The furnishings were quite servicable & there were plenty of linens;
*Within 1 block: a full-service grocery and gas station (at which I bought my nonresident WI fishing license), as well as a local family restaurant.
*The A/C worked flawlessly.
*A swimming pool and sauna is clean and well maintained.
*The staff is courteous and helpful.
Again, I feel that for the fee I paid, this is a perfect place for me to stay while taking advantage of the Hayward area. I plan on staying here any- and everytime I visit Hayward.
I like to think that I can roll with disappointment, but the AmeriVU in Hayward, WI was truly dreadful--rhe worst hotel I've stayed in in many, many years. | Only half the toilet seat was accessible because the heat register was off its moorings and blocking the bathroom door from opening. | The register in the bedroom was crushed and rusting. There was a gap between the exterior wall and the air conditioner, which someone had tried to fix by stuffing a wad of toilet paper into it. | The smell of disinfectant was so powerful, my eyes watered and I couldn't breathe (smells don't usually bother me). The manager told me they had no other rooms available and since I had booked through a third party, he couldn't offer a refund. I tried to open the windows to let the smell dissipate, but one window had no screens (this is mosquito country) and the other had holes that once again had been "fixed" with wads of toilet paper| Truly, truly an awful experience.
We were greeted very nicely. When told that our room was on the 2nd floor, I said oh no. The desk clerk gave us a very nice room on the 1st floor. It was very clean and had a 2 person jacuzzi tub. No complaints from us. We didn't try the pool or hot tub, but we saw others using them.
1st room I was assigned when I got there it wasn't cleaned. Bed messy. They gave me a different room. Stains and marks all over the bathroom. On the toilet and in the sink. Cigarette burn marks on the bath tub. No vent covers on. Light switches didn't work.
Excellent service, my room was super clean and very comfortable. Staff was very helpful during our weekend stay. Hotel was very close to walking distance of restaurants.
I booked it, hoping to keep costs down. Little did I know, this hotel has had major problems, with police and City council problems. ||Rooms are dirty and with literally zero amenitites. (no phone, no wifi, no coffee maker). ||I was put into room 317 and i am pretty sure, there was a police incident in that room, the interior door handle/deadbolt was DUCKTAPED to the door to keep it all together!||Was moved to a different room in the "renovation area on 2nd floor and the hall is cluttered with room items, lights, furniture, dirt and debris. Room was hell. ||I left at midnight and went to the Holiday Inn Express and enjoyed a real hotel. ||||This hotel is a local, Indian owned hotel and it shows that they do NOT know how to operate a hotel. ||Book elsewhere. You'll thank me later.
No breakfast, no coffee cups, so that ment no cups in the rooms, coffee machine but no coffee in rooms too, could feel the springs in the bed and the bathroom was so small you could close the door once you sat down, wasn't worth the money I saved
DO NOT STAY HERE! This hotel is extremely poorly managed and has some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. When I pulled in, it was poorly lit and obviously under construction with the manager’s family treating it like their personal living/dining room. It smelled like old food and smoke, and no one bothered to greet me.
Then, when I managed to get someone’s attention, they told me my reservation was canceled. I informed them that was incorrect because I hadn’t received any communication stating the reservation was canceled and they basically told me that was my problem and to find another place to stay.
Absolutely no effort to make any concessions or help on their part means I will NEVER stay here or encourage anyone else to stay here. They do not deserve our business!
