What a great time we had for Thanksgiving. My husband was thrilled with how easy it was to unload our bags, park. Parking offers a discount for hotel guests. The hotel was clean, and the double room was bigger than expected. the beds were comfy. I'm not sure about the big chandelier in the room. My sons had to watch their heads. The location was awesome a few blocks to Times Sq, Broadway, and Central Park. You are in the center of the world right there. Staff were happy and polite, almost like they were happy to see you. Fantastic couple of nights. Our family will never forget. My only complaint is about the female bartender she could be a bit friendly and welcoming. I ordered a sparkling wine after our long drive, from the menu, which she saw me reading, then told me I would have to buy the entire bottle when the menu says buy the glass with price. So I got nothing. Although that was the first impression of the hotel, I'm glad the rest of the stay was perfect.
On the corner of Broadway and 54th st, this was ideally placed for our 4-night trip. It’s close to Central Park, the main avenues, a 5 minute walk to the nearest subway (50th st) and 15 minutes into the heart of Times Sq. ||Superior double room small but spotless with comfy beds and pillows. Towels changed daily though we would have reused. Lots of good quality toiletries. Umbrella, iron and board, safe in wardrobe. |Great glazing meant we were mostly guarded from traffic noise in our 12th floor room overlooking (just) Broadway though drilling work on a new hotel opposite was a constant 8am - 4pm. ||Free coffee in reception in mornings then chilled water all day, fruit if you got there in time and free wine in happy hour 5-6pm. Bar open from 5pm. No food. | |Had a problem with shower but fast response from handyman Adam who then greeted us every time we saw him afterwards. Praise too for the helpful doormen, especially Mohammed. ||Recommended for location, friendliness and comfort.
A decent hotel if you're staying in New York for a few days. Don’t expect anything spectacular, but the price reflects that. The rooms are quite small, even if you're staying as a couple, but it’s manageable. The rooms are clean, and you have everything you need, especially since you’ll likely be out exploring rather than staying in the hotel. It is quite noisy, but that’s to be expected when you're in the middle of New York City, so I recommend bringing good earplugs for sleeping. I especially want to thank Jeff for his helpfulness and the sense of security he provided! Overall, a positive experience at this hotel.
Stayed their for our "Christmas in NYC" trip. The location was wonderful! Although it was "Time Square" you are a bit on the edge and so it was a little more calm than "the heart" of Times Square. 10 minute walk to Rockefeller and the park. Rooms were basic, but perfect for the trip where you are never really in your hotel, but want to go to a place that's clean and you feel safe. Would recommend, and stay again.
I recently spent time at Ameritana and had a fantastic experience. The hotel was clean, well-organized, lobby. I was particularly impressed with the variety of room offerings.||The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, allowing me to stay connected and productive during my time. Staff members were friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience. I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Nothing but good things to say about my stay here. My room was a small but cozy single room with essentially just a bed, nightstand, TV, bathroom, and closet. The room was clean and the bathroom was very modern and well put together. The bed was very comfortable as well. Window view of the city was nice and noise bleed wasn't too bad, but just remember you are staying very near Times Square so noise throughout the day and night should be anticipated. Staff were excellent from check-in to check-out. Counter staff greeted me with a smile after a long train delay around 10:30 p.m. and the door men were always in good moods and were willing to chat if wanted. Bag holding after check-out was also quick and at no additional charge. You can't beat the location and overall price to quality ratio. Next time I have work in the area I will stay here again!
Great location in Mid-town and staff were friendly. Loved the complimentary wine hour at 5pm and free Tea/coffee in the morning. Would have been nice to have those facilities in our room though so we didn't have to get dressed to go in the foyer for our morning cuppa. |Downside is the rooms. We had booked a standard double. The only storage is a cupboard with 6 hangers. No drawers or shelves to put our clothes on. I put the ironing board in the corner to use a a shelf. Also there is only a bedside table on one side so I put my suitcase on it's side to create one. The safe is on the floor inside the cupboard so you have to get down on your hands and knees to use it. |It's a bit of a shame about these things letting the room down as they could be easily rectified.
The hotel was lovely, the staff were friendly and so helpful. Planned something special for my daughter’s birthday. ||Clean lobby clean rooms. I only gave 4 stars as there was quite a lot of dust in the rooms by the telephone and alarm clock. Didn’t look like it had been dusted while we stayed.||They helped us with transport back to the airport. Which was reasonably priced.
