Amazing!!
Nice and big with an elegant atmosphere. The menu is so varied and there is something for every budget.
We went for traditional pasta dishes and they were lovely. Staff were super friendly and really nice to my 7 year old. Would definitely go back - thank you!

We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed! Absolutely delicious, creative Italian cuisine prepared fresh. When you go, be sure to ask for Ann-Terese. She is a fantastic server! She is a foodie at heart and makes great recommendations. So personable! Amerigo is worth a drive out of your way to enjoy a superb dining experience!

I had the fettuccine imperial with a spring salad with Caesar dressing which make in house,With an order of the gluten free bread and oil.

The food is exceptionally delicious. Especially the succotash base for the scallops. Good local beer selection and a full bar. The atmosphere is ok, very crowded eating areas. My personal opinion is they crammed too many tables in the restaurant. Service was very friendly, unfortunately, it is very rushed and it made the experience unpleasant.
OK, THIS PLACE IS UNREAL! I have lived in Italy three different times and eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world, and this one is the real deal. Their calamari (get the big portion) and pesto Alfredo are to die for. This place deserves a 4.7; not sure why people have rated it lower, it’s far better than any other Italian restaurant in Huntsville city. Also, they have warm fresh bread that is SO GOOD! We ate the food so fast we forgot to take pictures before so here are pictures of after hahaha
Home Run! First impressions are lasting impressions. Hostess: gracious and educational about the owners and associated businesses. Server (Charlie): a total class act. Knowledgeable of all the dishes and about what wines pair with what dishes. Very impressive. Food: I had the three cheese tortellini which was absolutely delicious. I also had a recommended Riesling and a Bombay Sapphire gin martini with blue cheese stuffed olives: delightful! Atmosphere: It’s a New York Italian vibe. Classy. Music: Sinatra. Romantic: yes. We also had the shrimp bisque. Very rich and delightful. We arrived around 4:30 pm. and had the dining area to ourselves. When we left, the bar was shoulder to shoulder with what I’m guessing were local retirees.
Wow! Really hate that I took so long to visit because I tried Amerigo for lunch a few weeks ago and really couldn't have had a much better time. I'm reticent to give 5 stars on a first visit, but I really have 0 complaints, so...5 it is.
I got done working at an event at a nearby school right around lunch time. I had a long afternoon ahead of me and wanted to eat a big lunch so I wouldn't be hungry for dinner. Amerigo has daily lunch specials and their special on Friday seemed particularly enticing -- and luckily for me, it was a Friday! I headed on over.
I was worried I'd be a little underdressed, but I didn't feel too out of place in my t-shirt and shorts. It's definitely a nicer restaurant but at least at lunch time I don't feel like anyone was sneering at me, lol. The hostess was pleasant and seemed genuinely happy to chat with me. All of the staff were lovely; my waitress was attentive and cheerful and managed her visits to my table with perfect timing.
The restaurant is pretty and, as I mentioned, slightly upscale. A visit to the lady's bathroom while I waited on my meal revealed it to be spotless.
For my meal, I had the Friday lunch special, Farmstead chicken, which consist of a grilled chicken breast, angel hair pasta with mozzarella and a bacon cream sauce, and a veggie medley. A complementary few hunks of bread and olive oil were also served.
Everything was absolutely delicious! The chicken was some of the best-cooked chicken I've had in a while -- succulent, tender, juicy. The pasta and cream sauce was rich, decadent, and delicious but didn't absolutely tear up my gut, lol. The veggies were bright and still had some snap. And the bread was delightful, too!
I look forward to coming back very soon to try dinner or have a lunch date with friends or family. They have carbonara "done right" as I say (i.e., /without/ fettuccine alfredo on it, lol) so I can't wait to try it -- I hope it meets expectations! If not, I'll happily continue visiting on Fridays for more delicious farmstead chicken. Thanks so much, Amerigo!
