Best WLM Reviews

Amerigo has long been one of my favorite restaurants. The food is amazing and not crazy expensive. The service is always great and they are happy to provide as much of their amazing focaccia bread as you can eat. Don't forget the tiramisu either
Disappointing food. We got the 5-layer lasagne and the bowtie & sausage pasta. The lasagne was barely hotter than room temperature - there were visible pieces of unmelted shredded cheese. It was also very salty. The bowtie and sausage smelled like good vodka sauce but was somehow bland. Also, there's no mention of the cheese crust that covers the whole dish when you look at it on the menu. This wasn't horrible but it wasn't what I wanted either. This cheese crust also means that any pasta touching the edges of the bowl will be baked on, drying it out and ruining the texture. The bread and caesar salad were good. The atmosphere is great and so was the service, but given our issues with the food, we wouldn't return.
I had a great experience at Amerigo and believe it is safe to say it deserves its spot amongst the top Italian restaurants in the Memphis area. The restaurant itself is clean, calm, and elegant from the moment you enter to the moment you leave. The staff members are all beyond friendly and welcoming, and the servers especially are attentive and caring. The food, of course, was outstanding not only in taste but also in presentation. Everyone was satisfied with their beautiful and delectable dishes, and the dessert was as phenomenal as the entree. I will definitely be returning and would wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to others!
Solid local Italian restaurant. We went as a large group and enjoyed the food. We ordered:
1. Free bread - this was delicious. (5/5 ????)
2. Calamari - this was prepped well and was cooked perfectly. The side dipping sauces were also very tasty. (5/5 ????)
3. Cheese fritters - these were like a delicious extra cheesy biscuit. (5/5 ????)
4. Chicken Piccata - a little heavy on the salt, but overall, it's a good dish. (4.5/5 ????)
If I lived locally, I would return and try other dishes.
This place is super solid. This place has happy hour everyday from 4-6 pm. A very solid location and great staff. Had the calamari and it was great! It wasn't rubbery at all. The bread is also fire and Herby and aromatic.
We were greeted by the sweetest host and the food came.out fast and it tasted really good. We loved the warm bread served with oil. Our server was not very friendly, we felt forgotten at times, and felt like we irritated him with our simple, small, requests. We would return but with a different server.
Stopped in for lunch this afternoon and had an unfortunate incident during our visit. We were seated at table 42 without acknowledgments from 3 servers working nearby. After an unreasonably long wait, I visited the hostess station and requested to be seated in an area with an assigned server. A lady that appeared to be in charge intervened and asked that we be seated in Marzene’s area. Suffice to say, he saved the day because I really wasn’t feeling the vibe and was contemplating going elsewhere. Advice to upper management, establish clear protocols with hostesses and the server working the area she seats them in. I did notice that after my “mishap” other incoming patrons were immediately acknowledged…as we should have been. Kudos to “Z” for his professionalism and stellar service. Besides the food, he is the ONLY reason this visit was positive and got 5 stars.
Keep up the good work young man!
To the host, please refrain from insinuating certain people can’t pay for their meal. Should further elaboration be requested, I’m more than happy to take it further-just not on Marzene’s praise review.
Scallops were great, but only four. The chicken Piscata was so good and I had enough for 3 different times. The tiramisu was super tasty and a generous portion too. Our server was attentive and so nice.
