This has to be one of the worst places to deliver to. This is my 3rd time here and every time it’s an issue or problem here. Today I showed up at 1pm and it’s 6:30pm and they still haven’t taken care of me, and also they charged me 205 dollars because I was late 20 minutes all because I was having truck problems. They want to charge money if you are late but where is my money because you guys want to take your sweet time with us…. So a little word of advice if it’s possible don’t deliver to this place, it’s not worth it! You better of booking a load elsewhere!
Trying to figure out the logic here-
If you're late for more than 15 mins of your appointment time, then they'll tell u to come the next day. But when you're on time then they'll give u a door and u just sit there for 1-2 hrs until someone comes out to cut the seal and tell u to open the doors and start unloading ????????
7:15Am appointment time 6:30am check in they give door 6:30Am and empty 7:30Am done with paperwork i think frozen load they do to fast -10
First time here, checked in she gave me a gate pass, and was told to back into dock 20. Well like any other place you dock. Got my seal off an another driver that was back there said they take the seal off. Just hoping they dont reject the trailer. Wasnt told to back to the dock door and wait. Started looking at the paper and it says the instructions on the back. should be in bold letters on the front. Never seen a gate pass with 2 sides. Guess ill update if i get sent away????
Read the reviews. All the negative reviews are true. Owner-operators beware. The bathrooms are currently shut down. 2 Porter John's only cleaned every 6 days. They have 20 + Docs and they only operate out of one or two of them. Americold is a corporate company with many locations. There is no reason for them to be understaffed with all these Docs. If you enjoy losing hours you're at the right place. Do they offer no assistance for arriving early. They will charge you a late fee for arriving late. The property owner doesn't want drivers to stay overnight. If your brokerage tells you they allow overnight parking it is a straight lie. Don't believe the brokerage.
There is a town sheriff that patrols the area. If you park outside on the street they were asked you to move. Only once! My advice to any driver who reads this mark this on your do not deliver list.
Got here at 11 am told will get you a door in a few hrs not a big deal since my appointment wasn’t until 830 at night so still here and was added to door before 830 and have not even had one thing added to truck and three others have came and gone and guy says we will get to you in an hr. Place is a joke. Period.
Don’t come early. Came 6am, got dock 8am, seal cut at 11:40am and still on dock. appointment was at 10am I wasted my 6h wake to get it done early so i can sleep free.
