The only bright spot at this hotel is the front desk lady. Who was very knowledgeable, sweet, and kind. As far as the rest of the hotel, stay here if no other options are available. Internet is terrible! Pool and spa wouldn't let a dog use it. Blood on the sheets, funky smoke smell in non-smoking room. With the ownership living on-site, you would think this hotel wouldn't be so poorly managed and run down. Didn’t eat the breakfasts. If I could have slept in my car, I would have. Save yourself the $$$. (Response to reply from management) owners live on second floor room 230. I didn't want to give that much detail, but since you denied it, I spoke to them and as a matter of fact there are 3 generations of family members living there i spoke to them all.. Second, I don't have a pet. But if I did, I would not let it swim in your pool. Blood on the sheets on one bed. So I used the other bed. Why would I ask to have it changed if they couldn't do it right the first time!.) Your response to an honest review shows your lack of customer service and any chance of correcting your issues for future guest.
Service is weird. Pool is dirty. Room was mediocre for cleanliness as we found a bunch of bugs. Carpet doesn’t feel clean. Hot tub doesn’t work. Something is floating in the pool. Wouldn’t stay here again. Or at another Wyndham again. They waste your time, money, and don’t care about customers.
Oh best part. They have false advertisement with breakfast. They will do breakfast whenever they choose to. So can’t go by any signs they have or the book. Whatelse do they have false advertising for. They also just run wild like chickens with no management. And customers service can do anything so no one is truly in charge
Loved the location being right off the trails and the hotel is utv/atv friendly. That is where the good stops. I was charged twice and they don't care. Check in took almost 45 minutes at 11pm, keys were only made for one night (leaving us to go to the front desk after 12 hours of riding), and when asked for them to remove my debit card they did not. I have no hope that my money will actually come back to me.
DO NOT STAY HERE! Absolutely horrible stay for my dad and grandma. Was booked over the phone through the hotel directly initially, then when attempted to cancel they said it was done through a 3rd party and can’t cancel. They decided to use the room instead of it going to waste and was charged $405 for 2 nights instead of the $247 that was told to them originally. Exterior of the property was overgrown and not taken care of at all. Screens were ripped on the windows, mediocre repairs made inside the room, and the breakfast/coffee was bad. Not to mention the hot tub didn’t work and the night employee didn’t know anything. If 0 stars were in option that’s what this hotel would get.
I am currently staying at hotel. It is really bad. Outside of hotel in disrepair. Room we are in is ok at best. Tub does not drain and floor sticky (gross). The worst is that the side entrance door does not lock. Extremely unsafe. So glad I am traveling with my husband.
Probably the worst hotel we have stayed at. Even before you enter the building you have to wonder if the landscaping company quit last year. Once inside the smell hits your nose and it goes down hill fast. I read reviews going back several years where they claim it's under renovation. We'll still has unfinished drywall mud on holes in the hallway, same with in our room. 211. Once inside the room it is very dated and grungy, the carpet and furniture are in horrible condition. Ripped up desk chair, burns on the couch, windows that were filthy and had a large amount of paint over spray on them. Turn on the TV, lol good luck. The signal dropped constantly. This could be a great hotel if they invested some money in updating the place.
I stayed here at the beginning of the month for a karate tournament for my daughter. I work for an AmericInn in the city I I’ve in and was told by my manager I’d get a discount and still paid over 200 with supposed discount. Which when my boyfriend called and said WE were bringing our daughter for the tournament she charged me and extra 50 bucks for my daughter to stay. Secondly when we woke up for the breakfast the eggs smelled like something crawled in there and died. I will not be staying here again. Dead bugs in the pool. I’m an assistant head housekeeper and can’t believe the cleanliness at this place. Definitely wouldn’t fly at my place. Nice that our door didn’t deadbolt either
First off, it should be more known that the hotel doesn’t have an elevator. Also unfortunate that they don’t automatically put people on the first floor.
The hotel seemed to have little traffic so to conserve energy and shut everything off. We had to run the ac and circulate air for the strange smell to go away.
It wasn’t dirty but wasn’t sparking clean either.
Overall 2 star hotel rating is very accurate and if I need to stay in BRF again, I’ll try another hotel.
