We were very surprised with how nice this motel was. We drive past Americinns in western Iowa & Omaha and they look dumpy, but the one in Monroe was VERY nice. The made-to-order omelets were as good or better than the more expensive Embassy Suites. The waffles were also very good and breakfast area was clean and organized.
Staff was friendly and parking lot was in good shape and well lit.
Only improvement I'd make is to get better pillows.
We will return.
Rooms were really nice and not what I was expecting! Clearly redone and the Hallways do not reflect the quality of the rooms. which is fine, because I am not staying in the hallways, overall property is clean and orderly and the staff actually cares, which if you know the difference, you know.
I stayed at the AmericInn on Saturday, July 29th, 2024 as a celebration of our seventh year anniversary. And the bed just hurt me. No matter what side I laid on, no matter whether it was my left or right side or my back, it was very uncomfortable. I bought a room with a Jacuzzi and I do not believe it was very well taken care of and the bathroom very small. The floor was slippery when wet and the tub was tiny. I wanted to take a hot relaxing bath, and I felt like a sardine in a can and don’t let me get started on the throne. Check out was it at 11 and be perfectly honest we couldn’t wait to leave. Like Dorothy, from the Wizard of Oz there’s no place like home. I’m a full figured man and I do not believe this hotel is comfortable for me.
Terrible place to stay in Monroe. Dishonest room pricing. Poor communication. Sneaks fees in after stay. Crazy because I've stayed at a lot of places in the country. Ridiculous pet fee, clean up fees. Room was exactly left the way it was given. Read the fine print before you stay. They know exactly what they're doing. Wyndham members for years and never ran into manipulated theft like this. Disputing with credit card company.
Staff was very accommodating. Every staff member greeted me, which made it feel like home. Very clean. Room was modern & comfortable.
Very clean, peaceful, great parking, excellent staff, yummy breakfast. Beads were very firm. Energy efficient. Great place to stay for families or business.
