I called during a snow storm and was assured a room would be saved for me when I arrived. Upon arrival we were greeted by the person who had taken my call and remembered me. We checked in easily and got his best price for our stay. We were given personal direction as to where to park our vehicle with trailer. We had a Clean room and bedding. The hot breakfast was good and clean surroundings. All is simple, no frills and just what we needed for a good, safe night of sleep during our travels. We will be back.
Rooms were clean and cozy. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast about what you can expect. Location is convenient right next to a 24 hour gas station. You don't have to start your car if your needing last minute essentials.
Just an old run down hotel. Heater in the room took hours to warm and there was muck on the shower curtain. Towels were stiff and the TV had only a couple channels. Price was not what was advertised either.
No elevator. This hotel was in the middle of a renovation, and there were holes in the wall from replacing the shower rod that had yet to be filled. Painting was not done well and furniture was mismatched, but the bed was comfortable and the room clean. Breakfast was not ready at the scheduled time, like not even the coffee????, which was disappointing.
This place is nasty! We left a day early because I could not stay any longer. We stayed in room 414 in the second building. The ice machine did not work, TV did not work when we got in our room and it took us 4 times to get them to come help. We had blood spots on a pillow and blanket. We had ants and hardly any hot water. The room was dingy and dark. We were in town from Nebraska so we could go to Iowa Speedway, a lot of hotels were booked and this one had pretty good reviews. Housekeeping never came in and you get one little trash can. Terrible place to stay!

This all happened the first night but it was late and we were tired from the drive! We got a pizza from Casey’s and sat it down and ants came out! We went to lie down and found blood so we took the stuff off the bed. We left it facing out for your housekeeping that never came in the second day. We stayed because we paid a lot of money for our tickets and all the hotels were full! Why was the ice machine down? Why was the water so cold when we took a shower? Why do the hallways look so nasty and smell so bad? If we could have found another place when we first checked in we would have! Thank you for your response!
Smoke detector woke up at 4:00. It was chirping. Battery no good. Went down to desk at 5:00. No one there had to call. Sounds like they were sleeping. Lobby open no one there? Light bulb out above vanity. Room was very clean tho. When we checked in they were very nice.
Nice place to stay. We stayed in two rooms right next door to eachother on the first floor. Comfy rooms with a big bed, a couch, and amenities like a fridge microwave, hair dryer and a mini coffee maker, a TV with hundreds of channels and nice cold AC, there's a breakfast area in the mornings, and a heated pool open all day/night. The only issue was my dad's room was missing an alarm clock box that has charging ports which every room has, and we called the front desk about it, but she said she wasn't sure if she could get maitence to find an extra one, so he never had a clock in his room. I guess someone who stayed before us took it with them?
Also, there was a giant cockroach crawling on my dad's floor by his bathroom door which freaked me out.
But my room right next door was excellent, no complaints.
When we tried to check out in the morning, there was nobody around at the front desk, and no bell to ring, so we waited a couple minutes and yelled out "hello?" So we just dropped off our room keys in the basket that said "leave room keys here" and left to get back on the road.
Positive: Price. Negative: This was a handicap accessible room and the shower had no ledge and the curtain was on an arced rod so water was all over the floor and saturated the mat making it unsafe.
