Best WLM Reviews

Our recent hotel stay was excellent. The staff was friendly. The hotel and rooms were clean and in good condition. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. We came near the end of the breakfast time and the food was still hot. Only 2 minor issues. Their definition of a queen bed is different from mine. I would say their queen bed is more like a double. And secondly, the pool area wasn't as well kept as the rest of the hotel. The deck was dirty, although it did get cleaned up our second day. Their weren't always enough towels for everyone and they seemed slow to bring them. On our first day the pool and hot tub were a really nice temperature. on the second day it's like the heater had been turned off, the pool was ice cold and the hot tub was warm. And the slide was out of order.
Overall the stay was good and we enjoyed it. The hotel was quiet and the rooms were clean. The stuff with the pool may have been a glitch and I would stay here again.
Our suite was lovely and spacious. The secondary room with the hot tub, had french doors and a lovely sitting area. The fireplace was great for relaxation and we appreciated having a TV in each room. Staff was friendly and helpful and breakfast items were stocked regularly. Even though the facility is pet friendly, the grounds are kept tidy. Although certain high traffic areas are a little worn, things are cleaned regularly. Great value for money and a safe area close to the zoo. We will definitely stay again.
Room looked and smelled old and not very clean. Sofa was stained & pull out bed was unusable with how far it dipped down in the middle. We had to put the mattress on the floor for our kids. The pool area had stains and rust everywhere and the hot tub water was cloudy brown. The mushroom and geysers in the splash pad pictured on the website didn’t work (yes we turned them on at the control switches). The waterslide configuration is also not super safe. I don’t know if there are specific ratios required for slide to depth…. but there should be. Our 14yo daughter’s leg got seriously injured because the water wasn’t deep enough. She couldn’t walk on it at all and the staff wasn’t super helpful. We had to use a luggage cart to get her to the car and spent most our our first night in the ER instead of the hotel. Our second night we took the other kids for a late swim (no slide) as a treat after being at a funeral all evening. At 11pm all the lights shut off without warning while our kids were still in the pool. We had to use a flashlight to guide them out of the pool.
Contrary to how this review sounds, we are not picky or fancy people ???? but for the price we paid for this room, we expected … cleaner, functional and safer amenities. Instead, it added significant stress onto an already stressful trip.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool and the pool area were not clean . We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. The layout and size was exceptional. The carpeting and room furniture are dated, stained and worn The breakfast was adequate and hotel did not have a manager reception, Not worth the money that we paid.
We had a large family vacation and needed to sleep 5 and we got a larger room with bunk beds. The room was very spacious and open.
From the moment we got in and till we left I can say this was one of the my favourite hotels I’ve stayed in while visiting Fargo. The staff were great and I would highly recommend staying here. You have a returning customer,
Thank you!
Review is for the pool only. It was awful. The chlorine smell was so strong it burned everyone's eyes. The water was chilly (which was fine) but the manager propped open all the doors in the pool area, making it so cold that our children asked to leave. There were many kids in the pool area with no adults and while I know this doesn't reflect the hotel, the manager was in the pool area and did nothing to stop the kids from climbing up the water slide & generally running amok. I am so disgusted by this visit I will never be back.
I booked through Priceline. We got there at check in time, right in time before there was a long line. There was only 1 person checking everyone in so it took a while, but I also understand that sometimes businesses are short staffed. The staff was very friendly. We were on the 3rd floor which they were re-carpeting, it was a little inconvenient due to the fact that the elevator was not always accessible but it wasn't a huge deal. They allow pets, we had our American Bully with us. The pet fee is $20 per night. The pool area was great, the grandkids (and the adults) loved it. The room, hotel, and pool area was very clean which is a big one for me! I definitely recommend this hotel ????
We have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past 3 years. The new management had cleaned up the rooms and given everything new paint.
Our room last night was clean with everything in it. The downside was at 9 pm there was constant running down the hallways, yelling and pounding on doors next to our room. My husband called the front desk to report it as we have a 2 month old we were trying to put to sleep. The front desk did nothing and my husband had to go into the hallway when it kept happening to ask them to stop.
At checkout this morning when we told what had happened we just received an apology and the hotel was fully booked and next time it would be taken care of. Very disappointed.
