I just give this one star because already it is misleading people who have never been to cedar rapids or don't know the area as that picture is not your hotel or motel it's a picture of Brucemore a historical site here in town not your hotel. So if you're visiting be prepared this town is full of scammers and liars. As for hotels really go it's all right it's on the lower end of the budget but it'll do
My friend and I were visiting my relatives in the area and our stay was just fine. Room was clean, shower was relaxing, lamps/lights and a/c worked perfectly. We got stuck on Roku TV and front desk female employee came to our room to pleasantly tutor us. Great restaurants are within walking distance and short drive nearby. Neighborhood was not noisy and we took morning and evening walks. We would certainly recommend to everyone and won't hesitate to stay again.
Friend and I are having a night in town together, so we thought this hotel was the perfect location for shopping and food. Upon arriving, we entered a construction site of a mess.. we walked into our room, and a bug flew up from the bed. There were fingerprints and garbage under the bed. The bathroom was disgusting. We told management and they said hotels get bugs and they don't always clean under the beds or need too Weren't offered a refund or anything
Great value for a place to sleep and shower. The breakfast is a positive bonus! It was good. Scrambled eggs and sausage! I would stay here again for the value!
Recently stayed here while visiting family for Thanksgiving. The hair dryer was ripped out of the wall, paint was peeling off of the bathroom ceiling and the bathroom sink was in rough shape. It seems like they wanted to take the cheap route so they installed toilets from a public restroom, the bathtub caulk was peeling away and the shower curtain had stain/ mold on it. Felt very unsafe even with my boyfriend with me.
It's never going to be more than a 3 star hotel. It's an older property, but they are doing some maintenance. And the facility and rooms were very clean. Fair price for the room.
I looked at previous comments and was a little concerned ????. However, when I arrived I was happily greeted and checking in was quick. When I entered the room I was pleasantly surprised. The layout of the room was what we needed and it was clean! Plus they have Roku tv so if you are a fan, you will enjoy that perk. When I checked out I questioned the 2 gentleman about the rating and comments and was told they have new management! So they are improving things.
I definitely recommend it.
I drove from Des Moines for the Creed concert at The Great Jones County Fair in Monticello. I have stayed at many Wyndham properties in the past. This hotel has easy access from Business 151. It is near the Lindale Mall. There is plenty of parking. I arrived around 3:00PM on Friday afternoon and my room was ready. No problems checking in and the man at the front desk was friendly. It is not the best or worst Wyndham hotel I have stayed at. I was in room #101. King Bed. It was clean and cool. The only small issue I had was with the shower in the morning. It took about 5-10 minutes to get hot.
