The decor is a little dated. Nice heated pool and hot tub. The pool was warmer than most. Decent breakfast. Nice firm bed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Easy to get to but not close enough to hear traffic on the interstate. Priced lower than others in that class.
Very friendly staff at this hotel. The front desk gal who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. Enjoyed swimming in the nicely heated swimming pool and hot tub was great! When we checked out in the morning, the owner/manager was very friendly and personable… thanking us for staying there. Location was handy and quiet.
The first time my husband and son stayed here my son had a blast and thought it was the best. Today, they went to the Iowa state game, I used the pre-arrival check-in link sent to our email and used our bank card as the card that we originally reserved the room on had to be canceled. Everything was fine. I received a confirmation number. Our banking app showed the cost of the room coming out of our account. They got there around 7 and the hotel had canceled the reservation and told me that the card did not go through and they did not see the new card information or payment on their end. They would not provide another room for the same price or less. I will update this if I do get refunded the cost of the room. I am not happy as my son was devastated as he was really looking forward to this trip and staying at a hotel.
We were in town for sporting events over the weekend and had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It's an older property and does need to work, but the rooms were clean/fresh and the staff was absolutely amazing. The two ladies in the evening and Neil in the morning were helpful. Easy access to I-35 made it convenient for us to get to and from our games. Will definitely recommend to friends and we will be back!
We were at the Hinterland music festival in Saint Charles this weekend. We originally planned to camp the whole weekend, and we did the first night, but for the second night we decided last minute to get a hotel so we’d be more well rested for the last day of the festival. I normally book through my credit card but it was too late in the day so I booked through Hotels Tonight. We didn’t know what type of room we were getting (I had one other person with me) but there were two queen beds which was nice. I will say that it took a second to get help at the front desk when checking in, but it was pretty late at night and when the representative arrived they were very friendly and helpful. I think that you could probably hear other rooms pretty easily, but there wasn’t much noise so it was fine. We were looking for a cheap hotel for one night that was close enough to Saint Charles and in an area we felt comfortable in as two young women during the night, and this was exactly what we were looking for. The breakfast in the morning was nice too before we went back out to the festival.
The art was kind of unusual but that has nothing to do with the hotel LOL.
Walking into the hotel, my husband and I were immediately comfortable. The lobby was clean, bright and welcoming. Service was quick, and we checked in very quickly. Our room was very clean and nice. The beds are raised off the floor quite a bit so folks who are a little shorter than me (I'm 5.8") might have a harder time getting onto the bed. The bed itself was very comfortable.
The bathroom had a nice granite countertop. It was a little hard to lean over the sink to put on makeup, so perhaps adding the small mirrors that are mounted on a wall and can be extended would help.
The room had DirecTV and some premium channels but no way to access apps like Hulu and Netflix. (We have stayed in places that allow you to log into those with your personal account info and remembers your info for 24 hrs. That would be nice!)
The room temp was easily controlled with a digital readout on the thermostat. Outlets in the room were available and easy to access.
The hallways were clean and well lit, the hot breakfast was quite good with choices for waffles, biscuits/gravy, sausages, eggs and cold offerings.
Overall the hotel was very quiet, and kudos to the maintenance staff as the room doors seem to be properly adjusted as we didn't hear ANY room doors slam.
We would definitely stay here again.

Poor experience from the beginning. The first room smelled like everything was wet and starting to mold, the towels felt as though they hadn’t been dried all the way. The second room they were going to change us to reeked of cigarette smoke from a long term guest. The third room was better but the shower didn’t work properly, the faucet was loose at the wall, the vanity mirror was broken and could fall down if touched, most of the outlets didn’t work, remote control was spotty; air conditioner had a grinding noise that was especially annoying and noticeable at night. After the initial switching I didn’t trust that any other room would be better. The pool looked like it needed a good scrub, the workstation was out of order, the juice machine was out of order. Everywhere you looked it seemed like something needed maintenance. For the inconvenience they gave $25 back, and when I reiterated the problems with the room, the manager gave an extra $5 back. Without even an apology for the inconveniences from the manager, I was disappointed that his staff were more apologetic about the conditions than he was. They were the ones that offered to talk to him about a credit. An acknowledgment or apology from him could have gone a long way in this situation. For the price we paid, we’ll be getting an Airbnb the next time we’re in town.
