I came to Ames to visit the Grad program and chose this hotel for its affordability and decent reviews. I was not disappointed! The hotel was nice and quiet. The rooms were very clean. They had everything you’d expect: Ac, tv, closet, microwave, fridge, coffee, ice, ect. I appreciated the office chair and desk for me to work on some school work. Great stay and close to the college.
I just stayed here during Cyclone game weekend. Room was clean and comfortable. Staffs are very nice and very helpful. Breakfast was great and lots of choices. Breakfast person was very friendly. We enjoyed big swimming pool and Hot Tub. They updated entire room and adding new room carpet.
Traveling through from South to North. Needed a one night stay. Room was clean and comfy. We were traveling with a pet so we were conveniently placed near a first floor exit. Always someone cheerful at the front desk. Nice hot and cold selections for breakfast. Lots of facelifting happening on the physical building. Looking nice! Seems nearly done. ????????????????
Amazing stay with my family.
My 3 kids enjoyed lot in big swimming pool and new Hot Tub. Breakfast was nice also with lots of choices. Price was very reasonable compared to other properties in Town. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely back to this motel when we visit my son at University of Iowa.

The hotel is very clean, with 2 swimming pool, one with hot and relax water and bubbles, perfect for a week-end or a relax moment after work.
People here is most than kind, from the first moment they took us in a high consideration, with gentleness, always kind ways and attention. I will thanks them all the time, and I hope to come back with family or for work again.
I’ve stayed at this property several times-the first time being just a bit over a year ago, and I won’t ever stay anywhere else when lodging is needed in the area. I stayed the 1st couple of times on business-but I’ve since stayed several times for non-business related travel, and always recommend them to everyone I talk to that will be staying in the area. When my colleagues found out I’d be heading this way for business today, more than one of them said “are you going to your favorite place?) to which I quickly replied “OF COURSE”!! The owner is genuinely appreciative for your stay, and will address any concerns you may have immediately and genuinely wants to know how they can improve. I know this review probably sounds “staged”-but honestly, it’s coming from a senior executive that travels regularly for business, and this is by far the only establishment I would recommend out of any I’ve stayed at across the US, of all different price points (just to note-this being the least expensive).
Exceptional hotel, very clean, neat, comfortable, and accommodating. Service is top notch, and the hot breakfast is definitely worth making this the first choice in the area.
Already looking forward to my next stay when I’m in the area again:)
