We are a family of four that needed a place to stay while we wait for our home to be ready to be moved in. The gentleman in the front along with whom I assume is his father let us pay $350 cash weekly. They will work with you, and thats a big deal since the economy is hard right now. The entire family and housekeepers have been nothing but kind and respectful, any issues that I have had they have helped me with a smile. We have been staying here for a couple of weeks and its been quiet, everyone keeps to themselves, with an occasional hello. The rooms are clean and well kept. And if there is an issues they will gladly help. I give it five stars because of my own personal experience that I have had since we have been staying here. I would definitely come back here if needed.
This little gem is tucked away from the main drag. Easy in, easy out. I was driving back to Houston from a business trip in Texarkana after an all-day meeting. By the time I reached Porter, I was beat and ready to find a place to lie my bobbing head. There are about a half dozen inns and suites within a 3 mile radius of 1314 and 59. I don't care for inns that face the frontage road, as the sound of Jake brakes and cars speeding down the expressway keeps me up all night. The inn is about 1/4 mile from the expressway, and the front faces East, with the back facing 59. This is a plus if you're a light sleeper. The room was very clean, and the staff I interacted with was very friendly and accommodating.
There are a variety of fast food options and restaurants nearby, e.g., Mexican, Steak house, Barbque, Chinese, and breakfast places like Denny's and IHOP.
This is no Four Seasons, but it sure beats most inns I've stayed in over the years. Like the name says, it's a Best Value for the price.

We've stayed there 4 times now, this time we had to stay 2 months, me, my husband and my baby. Management is excellent. They honestly care that their guests are comfortable, and they are very flexible with the requests as well. We will definitely stay there again.
Our family were a first time visitor. We've enjoyed our stay and they bent the rules to allow our furry buddy stay as well. Great customer service and support. I've looked at the reviews of others about the history of this place and I would not have noticed what it looked liked before. I believe in due time and more business they will continue to update this property. Rates overall were manageable.
It was a good stay, There were clean rooms, there were no roaches. And the smell in the side room was excellent.
Nicel and clean room it was, l really enjoyed my vacation. No roaches, no bed smell. I Will come in my next vacation.
