Absolutely negligent location. The door did not lock, there was no cover for the bathroom exhaust fan (that also did not function), the repairs performed on the unit were worse than some of the slum lord rentals around, two outlets were exposed with live wires and no protective covers, and several light bulbs were burnt out. TV? Sure, there was TV but the remote was held together with painters tape and only functioned so-so. I asked for additional bath towels and was told "house keeping does not work on the weekends and we don't have clean towels".
I voiced my concerns to the staff during my stay and was told maintenance also does not work on the weekends. I was offered no assistance and no substitute room. Upon check out, I had the joy to speak with the owner or manager. The staff called him the owner but he referred to himself as a manager. He took zero responsibility and kept saying how much better the hotel was since he took over four years ago. It was implied he was not a local to the location and it was clear he had no idea what was going on in his hotel.
The icing on the cake was, that when I left to drop my partner off and get breakfast, upon returning to my room they were all ready turning it over. I had no checked out yet and it was two hours earlier than their check out time.
If somebody hasn't been seriously hurt by this hotel's negligence, it will happen. Avoid this place at all costs. For $287 to cover two nights stay, it would've been better to sleep in my car. At least my doors lock and my vehicle is maintained to a standard where nobody would get a surprise jolt of electricity if they moved wrong.
This motel is a huge safety concern. I did not stay even for an hour before my partner and I left to sleep at the near by Walmart. Even Walmart felt safer than this motel. There were c*m stains on sheets, angry dogs next to us. Suspicious and broke down cars in the parking lot. We also witnessed a drug deal while leaving the parking lot. ||Woman at front desk deserves a huge raise!! She is super sweet and the only good part of this motel.
The door to the room was open (not unlocked, open!!) when we got there. The condition of the room was appalling. Stains and burn marks(?) all over the carpet, one of the beds was clearly broken and slanted and the toilet was very clearly not cleaned. Went back to the front desk to get a refund. While there, they were receiving multiple calls about the power going out in rooms. Very sketchy, don’t stay here.
Positive: "" Negative: The room was so dirty, stains everywhere on the carpet. The area of the hotel did not feel safe, there were a few transients hanging around the hotel making it feel unsafe. I was worried about my car being left over night in the parking lot.
Positive: "" Negative: This hotel is a dump and ran very poorly. We were checked in given our key card and when we opened the door to find the room was occupied. Our stay was 2 nights and after the first night we had staff pounding on our door telling us we had to check out.
Pig barns has better code of cleanliness than this hotel. Window was busted door was not able to lock or seal sheets were from. Last guest lots of low income.e people using g this hotel as a main place to live we left after 30 mi uses for fear of our own safety don't stay here your life depends on it
Why the hell would a hotel allow pets in a carpeted room? Or allow someone to run their own small scale dog kennel, using their temporary living quarters as a waste receptacle for a litter of puppies, plus the occasional adult dog or two, I'm sure. Never once did I see the puppies from birth to homing be put outside for this domestication standard...
Price gouging is an understatement. How is there no protection against this form of racquet for long term dwellers even post COVID?
It's a trap. Don't get sucked in and never be able to afford a solution out. Go camp for free for the summer, fix your credit as much as possible, and come fall perhaps you might buy a home instead of 1st last and deposit.
