Best WLM Reviews

Honestly pretty good.
I just needed a place to stay overnight before catching a flight the next day and wasn’t worried about glitz and glamor and this place was perfect for that.
Really kind staff!
My room was like an apartment: very spacious with full kitchen, closet and second bed in a separate room. No bad smells. I appreciated the office chair and desk. Bed and especially pillows were super comfy! I also really appreciated the simple breakfast.
Could have been cleaner and a bit rough around the edges (a couple lights didn’t work) but nothing deal-breaking. It’s budget but that’s what I was expecting. No elevator.
The fire next door was a tragedy and should be viewed as such. The staff here are trying their best in a difficult situation. Please have some compassion.
1/5 stars. The staff was friendly but unfortunately nothing can bring the rating up. We did not stay and canceled our stay at check in. Half of the hotel has burned and is taped off. We assessed the room. The bed sheets were dirty and clearly used, there was food stuck on the oven, the kitchen was falling apart, there was mold in the windows, and stains and dirt in the bathroom and on the furniture.
Staff was cleaning what I want to say was ash, and not just dirt in the hallways, and they have tried to cut the smell of a building that had a major fire with cleaning products.
We just needed a spot to crash before a flight, but I would not subject my children to these standards, never mind myself. Please see photos.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!! I've stayed in hotels in 3rd world countries that are better than this one. First thing I noticed when the shuttle driver pulled into the parking lot, is half of the hotel is burned down and boarded up. I wish I had photos. My room appeared to be clean but the only thing I would sit on was the bed. The furniture is shabby, the chair had cigarette burns. I wouldn't take a shower. The toilet seat was falling off. While I didn't need to use it, I would not have used the kitchen. I don't know this for a fact, but I wonder if the hotel is housing the homeless. There were a couple of people sitting out front who appeared to be on drugs and homeless.
While not threatened, I was afraid for my safety and did not come out of my room until it was time to take the shuttle back to the airport.
Honestly, super dissapp8nting. Do not stay here. Half the hotel is burned down, and the half that's still there is in terrible condition. The door didn't shut or lock, the bathroom light made horrible noises. The hotel was noisy and the front desk didn't do anything about it. There were no towels in the room at all and it took over 40 min before we were able to get any despite repeatedly asking. They did store our stuff in a room after checkout so we could walk around the town before our flight. However, I'm not so sure out stuff was all that secure when we did this. And it took a while for them to let us retrieve our stuff. All in all a very disappointing stay. 110% not worth the money. I would recommend to everyone to never come near this place.
"America's Worst" hotel! Our first clue that this was a mistake was arriving to see one of their buildings had been burned in a fire. This happened three years ago & it still had not been renovated! The building we stayed in had not been burned, but had many issues. The door to the bathroom would not latch and the bathroom electrical outlets did not work. We asked for a new room, which was a little better, but not much. The hotel is dated and needs renovation. It's located near the airport, but we were told later by folks we met in Anchorage, that it is in a "sketchy" part of town. We cancelled our remaining nights at the hotel and found a new place that was great.
Terrible. Probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed at that cost more than $25/night. We were on the 3rd floor with no elevator. The room smelled. There was a dirty rag on the kitchen counter. Stains on the walls, crumbs on the floor, hair in the shower, cigarette butts on the balcony, and paint chipped off the doors. Furniture seemed to be picked off the side of the road.
The best thing about this place was the airport shuttle, and that had a 2 foot crack across the windshield.
A very good place for the best bargain. The staff were all very friendly and attentive to us. We were comfortable with our three nights’ stay and would definitely return. Yes it’s in a very rough part of town but we managed fine as two women.
DO NOT STAY
This place was something else. Half of the building is burned down. We were greeted with a bunch of trash sitting in front of our rooms. Walking in the room you get hit with a wall of smoke(NON smoking room). Floor was not level. At least a 6” drop from one side of the bed to the other. Floor was sticky.
We then were awakened with a worker banging on the door at 8:00am asking us to get our stuff ready to check out. (We had just arrived earlier that morning at 2:30 am)
Very rough crowd outside hotel.
