To be fair, if you enjoy the smell of mold, various types of insects hanging around your bed and sink, a stranger’s blood stains on your sheets, the sight and sound of a drug addict yelling nonsense into a burner phone, and nice ice cold shower in the morning, this is a 5 star hotel.
On a serious note, this place illustrates the importance of reading these reviews before booking. The staff was friendly, the location was fantastic, and the price was reasonable. However, unless you seriously cannot afford a different hotel, never ever stay here. I’m sorry for the scathing review but it was easily the worst hotel room I’ve ever had in my life and it’s a miracle I wasn’t eaten alive by bed bugs or have lice right now.
Not the worst ever hotel but not great.
I’ve seen very very bad hotels, and this is not the worst. Of course, it isn’t great, but for the price you do get a decent room for the night. My room didn’t smell bad, although there were roaches. I only saw two however, so I wasn’t too bothered.. but maybe that’s just cause unfortunately I’m so used to roaches. For some reason the fridge wasn’t properly plugged in so I had to fix that to get it to keep my food chilled, but at least it worked and didn’t smell bad/have anything gross inside. Nothing weird left in the room at least that I saw, sheets appeared clean and didn’t notice any stains thankfully. Air conditioner didn’t seem to want to stay on during the night but I think that may have just been me not knowing how to operate it as my mom got it to work eventually lol. It is located very close to many notable locations, for example I was staying the night as I had gone there to see a concert at The National (it was AMAZING). The area where the hotel itself was, however, did give me the creeps. Idk like it just seemed very off putting. But many hotels around this price give that type of vibe anyways, just be aware of your surroundings and do what my parents and I did and place the armchair in front of your door lol. And enjoy your vacation! (Side note: I love the size of the televisions! I unfortunately live in a different hotel and was only at this one for the trip, and the hotel I live at has MUCH smaller tvs, the ones at ABV Inn are the perfect size ????)
WORST hotel experience ever.
Checked in at 1am, found several roaches right away and various other insects flying around. My bag was sitting in the floor while my husband took a shower and when picked up an hour later, 5 cockroaches fell out. Had to got through the entire bag and shake it out. Tried to lay down for the 4 hours we were gonna be there and a roach crawled over my face so we slept in the car. Upon further inspection before we left at 5:45am there was a gigantic blood stain on the mattress. Oh yeah and the NON smoking room smelled of smoke and mildew. Absolutely foul. Hotel won’t give refunds, neither will Priceline or probably any other 3rd party. What a rip off. Upon reading the other reviews I except to get some candid response from the business saying how their “team” is “highly committed” to making things better. Hahahahah. What a joke. DO NOT STAY HERE. SLEEP IN YOUR CAR. ITS NOT WORTH IT.
I would love to give a zero rating for every area except the location bc it was exceptional. I read the reviews and thought that no way could the reviews be this bad but it was! The hot water for the sink went from a low slow stream to not working at all the next day and the maintenance man could not fix it! It smelled musky and smokey although it was supposed to have been a non-smoking room! The motel manager said that they were short on washcloths and towels so he could only provide one set. It had someone's hair on it and one of the supposedly clean wash cloths had multiple stains on it and should not have been missed by the housekeeping staff. I brought my own pillows, sheets, and blanket and so thankful bc theirs were horrible. The bathroom was extremely small and unclean. I brought my own cleaning supplies to make sure things were clean to my satisfaction. We had enough and left a day early. Yes, I lost some of my money but as far as I was concerned, my money for that room was lost anyway! I never thought a motel could be so horrendous but now I have experienced it for myself. Anyone with a sane mind would not go there!
Bedbugs and roaches in every room, I've had to stay for work for over a month I several different rooms and all were Infestested, finally bought bug spray myself to keep them off me at night! Absolutely the worst hotel I've ever been !!
Positive: The young lady at the front desk during nights was so kind. Negative: The neighbors were interesting and I feel the place should be sprayed for bugs more often. None on the first day, but by day 3 they were everywhere.
Positive: Nothing room smelled horrible Negative: Old dryed up blood was on my sheets and nasty sticky stuff. Room was dirty, towels and wash clothes were visible yellow and they still put them in the room.

I recently had a disappointing experience at a hotel associated with Sonesta. Despite hoping for a decent stay, my room inspection revealed a concerning issue. While checking the bed for bedbugs, I discovered black spots in the creases of the mattress. Pulling up the comforter, I was shocked to find a large blood spot, prompting me to take pictures as evidence.
Upon informing the front desk and showing them the photos, I was surprised by the response that no one had ever complained before. Despite requesting a refund or an alternative room, I was informed that no rooms were available. Contacting corporate led to a disappointing outcome, as they were unable to refund my points or provide further assistance.
Ultimately, I was left disappointed by the lack of response and resolution to the issue. The experience was not only unpleasant but also resulted in a financial loss and a significant deduction of loyalty points. This unfortunate incident has certainly marred my perception of the hotel and its associated brand.
