Best WLM Reviews
The check-in service was great. The guy working was friendly. The room is very clean. The water pressure is great. The only minor complaint is that the air-conditioner is loud, towels are a little thin, the bed could use a 4th pillow, and there isn't a hair dryer in the room. (but I brought my own dryer). All in all, we will stay here again.
2.7 Stars to be exact. Exactly what you would expect. Beat up bathroom was a negative. However, it was clean. Smelt like smoke. Large XL parking in the back is a win. Good if you are on the road and you just need a quick overnight stay.
This can't be the Best Value in America! Let me list a few of the issues...
We are traveling with family and met up with friends, to see the eclipse. After traveling for hours, I needed to use the bathroom when we checked in... there was no toilet paper. That pretty much set the tone for the stay.
Paper signs were posted that breakfast is not available, even though the website advertises free breakfast.
The room! I must admit, it is good sized for a room (we reserved the King Suite). Usually, there is seating in a suite - like a couch or something. There is a single chair. Like a couch, but just for one person. There is a table/desk, but no desk chair and no chair near the desk. Our adult daughter is on the opposite side of the building (even though we reserved the rooms at the same time), and she has a ripped office chair in her room.
On to the closet! There isn't one! No hanging space, no hangers, no extra blanket or pillow... not in the cabinet, either. I can't even find a Gideon Bible in a drawer!
No soap by the sink (my daughter's room had face soap by her sink). ONE single serve packet of shampoo and conditioner by the tub for a King Suite - no shampoo or conditioner at all for my daughter. No tissues in either room (yes, there are those built in slots for tissue dispensers).
The temperature control is on the unit under the window. It was off when we entered. It said the room is 75. I thought 72 would be better. NOPE! It is automatically set to 65 when the unit is set to cool. I tried to increase the setting. NOPE! It only changes to a cooler temperature. There are two buttons - one to increase the temperature which doesn't work, and one to decrease the temperature. It is now set to 62 degrees and I am manually turning it on and off. Oh! And the curtain blows the curtains out! It looks like a giant hoop skirt! That explains why a nearby room has their curtain smashed up against the window!
The sink is low, there is a small opening to enter the "jacuzzi" tub (not heading that way because of the black stuff... I don't want to know if it is mold). There are three light switches in the bathroom. One turns on both a light and the fan. The other two do nothing. There are two switches across from the small/short shower. One turns on a light while the other turns on a fan that sounds like a jet engine!
The TV - it is a large screen with good clarity, color, and brightness! Score, right? FINALLY! Maybe 48-52 inches, very large for a motel! But the remote doesn't work! The "On" button turns it on... and off. The"Off" button turns it off... and on! The volume works, but the channels don't change. Ghostbusters 1 and 2 all night long, but it blocks outside noise. I don't know why I keep trying to change stations, but I cant! Sigh. And it took 4 minutes for AccuWeather to come up on my phone using their wifi.
On the plus side, the door keys work, the refrigerator appears cool, there is a microwave and a clock. I assume they work. There is a nice 3/4 length mirror hanging on the wall. Just trying to be fair!
Oh! The bed is neither hard nor soft. Medium - to suit everyone. But the mattress slides! You sit, and the mattress scoots over. My full sized husband is asleep on the bed, and I can move the mattress - with him on top - with minimal effort (literally with one hand).
In case you couldn't tell, I do NOT recommend staying here!
I only gave a 1 star because that is the lowest. I doesn't deserve that. I am currently staying at the hotel. This is the worst experience I have had. I would not recommend to anyone. I got in last light at around 8:30 after being in the road most of the day. I got in the room to shower and relax to find no cold water and bath tub dirty. Called the front desk and got no answer. Woke up around 8 am and still no hot water. Spoke with housekeeper who stated someone was supposed to come back and finish working on the hot water. Asked to make sure when they cleaned my room to make sure to clean the bath tub because it was dirty. They assured me it would be taken care of. I returned to the hotel around 4:30 ready to relax and shower. Went to front desk to be told the water was off only a few minutes. Which was not true. Came back to room to see house keeping never cleaned my room. Bed not made and bathtub still dirty. I called the front desk to be told that house keeping has left for the day and they would let the manger know . I then got a call saying if I need sheets and towels I can come get some. I booked through Expedia who I reached out to since the hotel wasn't any help. They front desk told Expedia I didn't complain about anything and they would not give me a refund. I went to the front desk and spoke to who Expedia spoke to be told they didn't say that. I went back to front office to be told they didn't tell Expedia that. Not to mention they are doing construction outside the hotel. There is all kinds of noise. They are working in the room next to me with banging on the wall where the bed is and saws outside making noise. They offered to move my room but because I am unable to go up and down the stairs I couldn't moved because they don't have anything downstairs available. I asked for refund so I could get a room somewhere else. But because there is no manager on duty they said there is nothing they can do and management doesn't come in until after 10. I have to be up by 6:30 to be back on the road. After having the worst two day stay. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely leave a review on every platform I know so people would know about the poor customer service . They should really take in consideration their customers concerns and have someone who can addresss immediately
Traveling to San Antonio so decided to give this hotel a try. We were pleasantly surprised as it got decent reviews and was a very reasonable price. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Not super updated, but if that doesn't bother you then you can't beat the price. The air conditioner in our room was a bit loud, but it didn't interrupt our sleep as it is white noise. There was no breakfast available so they should update their website, but we swung by McDonald's which was across the street. We will definitely stay here again when passing through.
Good location right off the highway. The property itself was disgusting. Homeless people wandering around, cars blasting rap music etc. Crickets and flys in the room. The AC was so loud and rattled so bad that I had to shut it off to sleep. The room felt gross. The bed was very uncomfortable and the sheets were rough and itchy with stains. Awful place to stay overall.
We are working in the area and found this gem. They offered a weekly rate, however, they do have low nightly rates. The rooms have been remodeled and everything looked beautiful. The king bed sits on a platform, and we often hit our shins but the bed is like sleeping on a cloud. We have interacted with the housekeeping staff and they are very helpful with giving new towels and cleaning the room as needed. There are a few front desk clerks and they are all super nice.
They do offer a washer and dryer. We had a microwave and fridge in the room.
If you are staying in the area I highly recommend this hotel. There are several places to eat nearby and it is close to interstate.
this may be the worst service ive ever gotten at a hotel. Dhaval Patel was incredibly aggressive and rude to us (i even have a video of him yelling at us and saying hes being rude).. there was no breakfast, they advertise late check out at 1pm on their website which he also refused to do and lied about. their phone lines apparently dont work because they didnt answer in the 20 minutes we tried to call...
DO NOT STAY HERE
edit: we were offered late check out and then your employee took it back and said GET OUT NOW, which i do have on video and did also send to the BBB.
