My husband and I were passing through and spent the evening here. The hotel is in a quiet area off the highway and made for a very quiet evening overall. The staff is quick to respond when checking in, we also needed some extra amenities later in the evening and they were still very quick to get us what we needed. Recommend for the price!
My stay at American Best Has been an amazing experience. The staff is very helpful and cater to your needs. Giving you the best customer service experience ever. Very laid back and quiet hotel. The rooms are very spacious and king beds are very comfortable. I would highly recommend if yu are traveling or just need an outing..I recommend this hotel for the home away from home experience.
Absolutely no relation to the photos in the website, please spend a little more money elsewhere and save the time and disappointment.
He tried to charge us for my SERVICE DOG!!
We checked in last night after going almost a week with no electricity or water (hurricane Laura) and we just wanted a bed, AC, and a shower. The man at the desk was very rude. He acted like he didn’t want us there. We had 2 other dogs with us and were more than happy to pay the pet fee for them but he also tried to charge us for my service dog which is against federal law. I told him we were absolutely not paying for her and he dropped it. The room is ok. The floor looks kinda dirty but the beds are comfortable and the AC works so we are happy.
The laundry doesn’t work, their are AC units piled in a corner on the second floor, the parking lot is covered with garbage. If we had another option, we would have taken it. Don’t stay here.

I would like to thank the wonderful staff. Don't let the state of renovations fool you. While touring the property we discovered that there was a whole hell of alot that needs to be done before this place is habitual. From the kicked in doors, bio stained carpet, and peeling paint. You will realize why it's so cheap and oh I forgot to mention the unbelievable smell of mold. Stay at your own risk. You have been warned.
The man at the front desk was cordial and showed me the room first as I requested. The room was relatively clean, although there were dusty areas and the side chair showed soiling from use. The large refrigerator and tv were nice. The bathroom was aged and wood trim was badly chipped. No strainer in the sink. The sink was old and scarred. The toilet was very low. There was no exhaust fan, no hair dryer, and no hand towels. There was no ironing board /iron. However, the beds were comfortable. Wifi did not work and the Dish Network satellite kept going out. (There was a lot of thunder and lightning in the area at the time.) ||The ice maker in the hotel worked. The old style pool in back was drained. It appears to not have been used for a long while. There was only two floors at this hotel and no elevator. The carpeting had been removed from the stairs and not yet replaced with tile, or new carpeting. The lobby and hallway was hot. AC seemed not to be working in these areas. The complimentary continental breakfast consisted of cold cereal, breakfast pastries and small sausage biscuits which would need to be warmed in the microwave, juice and coffee. We did not eat anything there because the lobby area was too hot and dark. We went to IHOP instead.||We stayed here since we were only going to be here one night and saved $50+ in comparison to the rooms rates in the nearby hotels. In restrospect, I would have felt more comfortable in the higher priced hotels.
They don’t give you extra towels when you need them . VERY RUDE would NOT RECOMMEND staying there ! They will invade your privacy . They will harass you & will not give you time to gather your things when it’s checkout time without standing outside your room . The room needs more maintenance & more sanitation. THE ROOM SMELLS HORRIBLE . Last but not least they will watch you on camera and find everything wrong to say to you !
