Worst stay of my life. At 2 AM someone knocked on my door twice, which I ignored. I was terrified and feared for my life. The situation was even more concerning because they didn't have my information in their system due to a room change the day before. The rooms reeked of cigarettes and had an unsanitary odor, as if homeless people had been living there. The bed linens were dirty and smelly. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel stay of my life.
The room we were placed in initially was dirty and smelled overwhelmingly of cologne. The lampshade was in pieces and everything was sticky, coated with a layer of dirt. We got moved to another room. This room was in better shape overall but was also very dirty, and had a relatively milder moldy smell. The shower had sticky residue on it and visible stains. If we were not staying for just one night prior to a flight, with no other options, I would have asked for a refund and gone somewhere else. We paid over $200 for this room, too. The desk staff were pleasant to deal with and tried to help, but it seems to me like this hotel needs the upper management to mandate a deep clean and updating of the rooms.
Positive: There was no large towel. The power plugs were not working so I couldn?t charge my phone. And there were no elevators onsite. Negative: This hotel should be shutdown, it was not clean. The hallway carpet was so dirty. Overall it was a terrible experience.
Did not book directly through hotel,(huge mistake) as we would have departed after the first night but our card was used for a 3 night stay. A couple traveling with us had a similar experience. At check in, room had not been cleaned…toothpaste in sink, medication on floor under sink, etc. Our room did not have a usable TV remote. The desk clerk tried 3 different remotes with the last one having a taped back! In 3 days, no one came to provide a proper device so we needed to leave TV on one channel and turn off/on manually. There was no service….no one checked our room. Wastebaskets not emptied, towels not tended too, supplies not replenished. We paid a substantial amount with very little service. Management needs to follow through on these inadequacies. I would not recommend this establishment.
Where do I begin? This was quite possibly the worst hotel we've ever had. Let's deal with the pros first:
Pro:
-One staff person - Pepper - was so helpful and courteous to us!
Cons:
-The air conditioner is loud as all get-out. It sounds like a race car revving up.
-We didn't have a soap dispenser. When we requested another one, we were told they were all out.
-The garbage is laughably small.
-Hotel staff will not give you fresh towels each night - you have to request this service. This is not stipulated anywhere, nor were we told about this. So when we got back from Glacier after a long day, we could not believe that our room had not been taken care of at all.
-The bath tub has that faucet that you have to pull down in order to use it. But if your bath tub has to include written instructions (that are not entirely clear), then I think there's an issue.
-This hotel was constantly out of things. I overheard a patron asking for a plastic knife, and they were told "We're all out".
-We asked for a room upgrade, and we were told "We are overbooked", but the parking lot was half empty.
-The location is rough. Practically every night, we heard cars whizzing by, but not routine cars. You can hardly hear normal traffic, but you would occasionally hear cars or motorcycles racing by.
In summary, if you have ever seen an episode of Kitchen Nightmares or Hotel Hell, it felt like we were in that. Some hotel staff were unfriendly and unprofessional (one of them was dressed in complete nondescript gray t-shirt and sweatpants, walks up to me, and asks, "Can I help you?" Like, who are you...?) It's clear that the hotel is cutting as many corners as possible (i.e. only 1 yogurt per customer, you can't use the ice machine to fill containers, they're out of plastic knives), and to top it all off, the door to our room didn't even close properly. You had to slam it shut for it to secure. Whatever you do, do not mention this to staff because you will be told that you're wrong, just like in Gordon Ramsay's shows. Even after we left the hotel, we stopped for coffee, and the barista asked us, "Where did you stay?" We told them here, and even they said it was a big mistake. The best part about this hotel was Pepper, the very nice staff lady who always greeted us when we walked in and bid us a good day when we left. Pepper, hope you get yourself some back surgery after all the carrying you're doing! Long story short - don't stay here. The price looks good, but the value is terrible.
Positive: The ease of checking in. Negative: It was in horrid shape. A huge oil (?) stain in the middle of the rug. Smoke alarm was out in the hall, plugged in sitting on a shelf. Hairdryer did not work. Curtains were rotted with holes , dangling off the rod.
Hotel is filthy . Suite 101 was awful,, hole in the glass on the window was patched with a piece of cardboard from the garbage . Floor was sticky and something was leaking under the tiles. The whole room smelled so bad we had to ask for a refund and drove home. The hotel front desk staff person was very nice and understanding . See attached photos of the dirty conditions .
I would not recommend this hotel and will never stay here again. I travel a lot and have never been treat so rudely by a desk clerk as I was here. The room had a foul odor. Had to go down and get clean sheets before I could go to bed as when I folded back the blanket the sheets had blood drops on them. People that is a Biohazard. Management if you wish to discuss this with me I look forward to your call I stayed in Room 114 on 08/02/24.
