We checked into this hotel today and were appalled to find roaches crawling across the floor of the room. It’s unacceptable to encounter such a serious cleanliness issue, especially when paying for a place to rest and relax. We immediately reported the problem to the front desk, but their response was indifferent and lacked any urgency to address the situation.
Unfortunately, we had no choice but to check out early and find alternate accommodations. I would not recommend staying here until they seriously address their pest control and hygiene practices.
We were passing through the city, our car broke down, and we chose this nearest motal by Booking.
The young man who greeted us when we checked in last night was friendly, but the older woman who was on duty when we checked out today was very unfriendly.
The rooms here are spacious, but not very clean, and the pillows have a very bad smell, which makes it difficult for us to sleep. Cockroaches and flies were also found in the room.
This hotel will scam you out of money. They have a poor website design that showed my booking did not go through each time I tried to book, then I got charges for those bookings (despite the message from the website saying the bookings did not go through). Their customer service was abysmal. I received no communication from the hotel or from Sonesta (their managing company) after trying to get in contact via phone and email 7 different times. Save your money and go anywhere else!
I had to cancel on short notice and the ownership was very kind to send a refund. They were understanding about people having troubles with power outages in Houston from the hurricane
Interesting motel off main road in Giddings, Txt Reasonable rates for couples .Soft water and quaint rooms.
Positive: Customer service was rude; the TV would not work; the microwave was filthy; they advertised free breakfast, but they did not even offer coffee and when I questioned them, the response was to point down the street to another business to purchase coffee. Negative: This is a bait-and-switch situation and I paid over $--- for two nights; it was not worth $---. Negative: ""
5 stars for cleanliness, service and price. It's a busy hotel for traveling workers and not very quiet. That's me and I was very comfortable, not where I would bring my family to stay. The provided breakfast is a joke, but I wasn't counting on it and I was fine with some free coffee and went to a great diner just down the road.
Positive: location- in town for business. Negative: no breakfast, door locks were not secure stuck in corner bathroom sink dirty previous guest left booze in fridge, not wanted, gross. Negative: ""
