Please, please, please heed the honest reviews and ????♂️ ???? as quickly as you can!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances stay at this over price, bug infested, smelly, mold ridden motel! ????????. I am surprised it holds the Sonesta name. Complete misrepresentation of the chain!!!
My sons were attending a game in Gainesville and these rooms were way overpriced just because of the event. Secondly, it is obvious the cleaning crew either needs help or is nonexistent. My boys did the same thing, checked in, left and slept in the car. The conditions were deplorable.
I tried calling and speaking with the “manager” who was extremely rude, disrespectful and aggressive!!
This motel needs a thorough inspection as well as an investigation. PLEASE SOMEBODY LAUNCH AN INVESTIGATION! ????????????????♀️➡️????????
I wish I would have taken photos, the front desk lady was incredibly nice and definitely deserves a raise! Working in that hotel I'm sure she has faced her share of customer complaints regarding these rooms, you can tell it's barely spot cleaned at most! And despite the fact that the rooms had a horrible odor, we were stuck it was very late and my little one was already asleep we had no choice but to stay. we ended up sleeping over the covers out of fear of possible bugs or unchanged sheets definitely wouldn't go here again
Positive: Convenient location. Right next to a waffle house and a convenience store. Negative: Older hotel in need of renovation. A lot of patchwork on the walls. No ironing board iron or blow dryer. No small table or chair. Loose and leaky plumbing and shower and sink. Very flimsy door. Damaged curtains.
Checked in and checked right back out. Bedbugs and dirty sheets, mold in the bathroom, blood stain on the curtain, cracks in the window, mildew in the broken AC, and drywall that is partially collapsed. Management refused to offer a refund. It looks like they also increased their prices by $100 compared to previous rates. Absolutely despicable and predatory behavior considering we booked to escape Hurricane Milton. Do not book here!
Checked in at 4:15 today and the room still wasn't ready yet, had to wait 20 minutes for it to be ready. When we went to check it out, it had random liquid stains on the floor and one of the night stands. Mold on the bottom of the shower curtain. Spiders in the room next to the bed. Marks all over the floor. We immediately checked out. Don't waste your time and money here.
My name is Laurie kay I'm presently staying at this wonderful hotel. Nick at the front desk, is welcoming and wonderful. The rooms are clean, and beautifully decorated. The staff is accommodating and kind. I would highly recommend AMERICAS BEST VALUE INN IN GAINSVILLE FL. TO EVERYONE. You won't be disappointed! Thanks, NICK!
Hair in bed. Lamp disassembled. Rack falling off wall. Shower dirty. Sticky floor. Trash in walkway. TV non-functional. Can’t believe i paid $230 for this. Probably the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
This place is one of the worst ones I have ever stayed in. The mirror in bathroom was dirty, the floors were sticky, the bathroom had hair on the floor, the door didn't lock right. Didn't seem like the room was cleaned prior. No one from housekeeping came to see if we needed anything. Just gross!
