i loved this hotel , 10/10 the staff was nice and the rooms were CLEAN! i got a non-smoking room and it's exactly what I was expecting and the pices were good! Want a cheap clean hotel? Come to Americas Best Value Inn. ????
The male that works during the day, not sure if he is the owner or not, was absolutely AWFUL. Very unkind human. My fiancé and I stayed there only one night and while the room was not the nicest of rooms (expected for how low the nightly fee was), that didn't bother us. What bothered us is I left something of important value to me in the room. After realizing I had left it there after the fact of us checking out, I immediately called the hotel. The night shift girl was very nice, she told me to call back in the morning as this was 10pm when I called so housekeeping would not be available to speak to about locating my item that was left. I called back at 10am and the male day shift worker answered. He told me nothing was reported found in that room after we checked out. I beg to differ considering I had it when we checked in and didn't after we left. I knew EXACTLY where I left it too and asked politely if I could please come up and look through lost and found (was told they hold L&F items for 30 days) or speak to housekeeping, he said "No, that isn't necessary because nothing was found. Why don't you believe me? Why do you think I'm lying?" in a very stern and argumentative voice. I said because I 100% know I left it there and where it is. He proceeded to tell me nothing was found and no, no, no. He then hung up on me as I was insisting he let me come back to claim my property. Called back later and spoke to the night shift girl again, she said that was awful how he handled the situation and she would try to find it for me. I called back the next morning, same male day shift worker again, he said "You again, why are you calling me back? I told you, nothing was found." I just said "Okay..." and he hung up. It's obvious I'm not ever going to get my property back. I honestly think it was found and he or someone in housekeeping is holding onto it but tell me "nothing was found." So in layman's terms, they are thieves. The night girl was great, she tried to help me the best she could but ultimately this is on the day shift. So unless you don't want to ever regain your personal property if you accidentally leave it at this hotel, DO NOT STAY HERE. I am heartbroken that people like this have a job in customer service of all things. Accommodation is the core of their job title. Just awful.
If you're looking to sleep somewhere and wake up feeling like you were chain smoking cigarettes all night...This is the place for you!! I stayed here on my way back from a road trip in October of 2023. It was a last minute, I NEED to SLEEP, choice. In hindsight, I should have pushed my limits and drove further to find a better choice or just slept in my car. The hotel REEKED of weed and cigarettes in the lobby area. When we went up the stairs from the East end of the building entrance. It added the smell of mildew/mold, old food, and garbage. The area where our "room" was had bags of trash outside of the doors and some bags were leaking. The room was extremely out dated, which isn't a big deal to me as it was just a place to rest on my 22hr drive. When I went into the room I noticed the curtains were hanging/not attached to the curtain rod, EVERY flat surface in the room was covered with cigarette burns, the sheets on the bed had burn marks all over, there was mold in the corners of the bathroom ceiling, the shower head was discolored and had mold on some of the nozzles. Against my better judgement I decided to stay. When we left in the morning there were a few other guests out front of the front door smoking a variety of different things and cussing and chatting, while sitting with children that were waiting for their school bus. I WOULD NOT recommend this play to ANYONE. CHOOSE A BETTER PLACE!
Positive: Absolutely NOTHING! Negative: Filthy, not fit for anyone. Dirty smelled strong of marijuana so much cigarette smoke everywhere inside the hotel . Never in my life have I witnessed a more unhealthy environment.
Absolutely the worst hotel ever! If i could I would like to put minus one star but dont have that option. My family and I went this past weekend. We got in before the 2pm check in and asked if we can check in early they charged us $20 extra to check in early!! The pool doesn't open until 2pm either, so if you are staying more then 2 days you have to wait until 2pm to swim, the pool is not heated and was a lite green color.... I had friends who lived in the area and wanted to come swim and they wanted to charge them $10/person who wanted to be in the water, granted I bet they would have charged them for towels too. Shower had no pressure and wasn't even hot. Made waffles the next morning, they used a laddle that wasn't even a cup! My kids said the waffles didn't taste gold either, guessing was a cheap batter. Room had stains on the floor. The AC was not on when we arrived.
Parking in the back was sketchy. Coffee seemed water down with just a hint of coffee taste...
Just overall worst experience ever - happy we only stayed overnight and left the next morning.
This is absolutely the worst hotel I have ever used. We asked for a non-smoking room, and we didn't get it. There was a dirty ashtray on the table by the window. The floors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a while. The room had a very musty smell. There was black mold in the bathroom! Giving serious thought to informing the local health department.
It is an inexpensive motel no pool but I don't swim. The staff is very friendly. They always seem to go the extra mile to take care of their guests. The cost is very fair for the accommodations provided.
I very rarely write reviews but I absolutely had to for this place. DO NOT STAY HERE if you're a non-smoker. The place reeks of cigarettes and pot literally anywhere inside. My room was a (very outdated) non-smoking room. Regardless, the bed sheets still smelled strongly of cigarettes and I couldn't sleep because of it.
Only reason I left two stars instead of one is because of the service. The staff is super friendly. The location is only convenient because it's immediately off the freeway, but the only other thing it's close to is a gas station.
