Best WLM Reviews

You really can’t judge a place just from photos. It's worth checking out local reviews or online chatter before going to places that seem decent at first glance. On the plus side, the person managing the place was polite and helpful. The first room had an odd smell, not smoke, but something else, so I asked for a different room, further from the road and away from noise. The second room confirmed that the smell in the first one wasn’t typical. The neighborhood has some lively characters, especially across the street. I booked this place on short notice, and while it wasn’t terrible, it’s definitely somewhere I'd only stay if I had no other choice.
We needed a place to crash for the night. This is an old hotel that has been updated. Great price. Great room. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Man at front desk was very nice and helpful. We would stay there again.
We stayed here for a local wedding. Our room was clean, fresh-smelling, and in good repair. The bed was comfortable. The shower was good and hot ( if a little low-pressured). Very basic continental breakfast, but with real coffee. Friendly staff. We would stay here again.
I have never been treated so rudely in my life, the owner completely disrespected me and my dad and told us to never come back all because “field workers” were going to be staying there and do not want to share the hotel with dogs.. although we paid a pet deposit for each day we stayed at $30 a night.. they have drug addicts in the parking lot smoking something in the car while their 2 children play in the parking lot even with cars coming in.
The floors smelled like pee and turn your feet completely black, we weren’t allowed to get extra toilet paper so if you plan to stay for a longer period of time make sure you bring your own.
You’re better off going to Days Inn where the owners are actually respectful and deserve your business.
If I could rate them a 0 I would..
Do NOT walk barefoot on carpet or tile because your feet will turn black. ???????? Carpet doesn’t appear dirty but it is. H & C bath water tap were reversed in our bath. Bath floor tile had stains that almost appeared like dried chewing gum and CLEAN the corners in bath. ( Put your maintenance people to work and clean these things). Room always felt damp with slight odor.
Front office offered coffee (no decaf), plastic wrapped sweet rolls and juice that appeared and tasted like TANG ( felt like an astronaut) ????????
The only ???? is that the bed slept pretty decent.
We had a 2 nite stay but would not book them again. Oh, bathroom courtesy shampoos were previously used.( not full and seal was broken). ????????. I’ll give it a 1/5 as the bed was decent.
Booked 4 days for the 4th of July weekend. But only stayed 1 night, and half a day. Because my room had bed bugs. The manager was not at all surprised when I informed him about the bed bugs. He literally said "bed bugs again, room 111?" I told him I wanted to be refunded, and he only agreed to refund me for 1 night. Even though I booked 4. And after almost 3 weeks of checking my account; I still never received my refund. I called twice! The first time they said they would work on sending it. And the second time a week later: the guy tried to tell me that they had already sent it. Even though I had literally checked my account before calling them. And saw no refund. I informed him of this, and he preceeded to speak gibberish until I hung up. I would not recommend spending money on this place. It's not clean, and the management is dishonest!
So, I booked 4 nights for the 4th of July weekend. After 1 night I found out that my room had a bed bug problem. Literally found one on top of one of the beds in room, as I came back from taking a shower. When I spoke to the manager, and asked for a refund. He didn't exactly sound surprised. His exact words were "room 111, bed bugs again?" He then said he would only refund me for one night, since I had been at hotel for half of the second day. I checked my card over the next two weeks, and called twice to remind them that they still hadn't given me my refund. The last time I called; the manager at the front desk tried to tell me they had already sent the refund(even though I had literally checked my account right before I called: and there was no refund). I informed him that I checked my account, and had not seen any refund(keep in mind this is almost 3 weeks after they had originally said I would be refunded for 1 night). He them spoke gibberish the rest of the conversation until I gave up, and hung up. I still never did receive the refund they promised. And fortunately I was visiting family while I was down in Clayton, so I didn't have to spend more money on another hotel for the remainder of my trip. All in all, I would give Clayton, GA's America's Best Value Inn 1 star. Only because I can't give 0 stars. They may have cheaper prices, but their cleanliness and sanitation is bad. And the management there are dishonest. I would not recommend spending your money on their services, or lack there of.
The hotel changed my room reservation without notifying me and stole from my room when I was gone. These people are cheap for a reason. Don't trust them, go to the quality inn up the street
