Best WLM Reviews

This place is absolutely disgusting. The filthy rooms, unfriendly staff, nothing up to date, the smell, need I go on??? And in case of a fire, how would you even know with no smoke detector in the room? There's an exit plan on the door, but no smoke detector in the room. I suppose the window is an escape route! Unacceptable, and most definitely a code violation. I want a refund! Just bad all the way around. I would give 0 stars if possible. Save yourself the money and time and go elsewhere!
Positive: Clean comfortable safe place to be, Staff are friiendly professional accomodating Room v ry nicely furnished with all needed. Thank you to staff who make you feel welcome at an affordable price. Thank you Americas Best Value .Inn of Chippewa WI. Negative: No
This hotel is not a hotel, but a motel. We ended up not even being able to stay here because of how horrible it was. Our non smoking room reeked of cigarettes, there were stains on the sheets, visible chunks of dirt on the bed and floor, paint was peeling off the walls, and there were bugs in the bathroom. This place is advertised as having a bar and restaurant, which it does not. This place does not look like any of the photos I saw when booking. It is dilapidated and run down. Do not stay here.
Edit: we were here for less than 5-10 minutes. We went to the front desk and they promised us a full refund for both nights we booked. After 10 days, no refund was on my card so I called back. I did get one night refunded but never the second like they promised. If I could give negative reviews, I would.
If you are thinking of staying here... Just don't. I'm sure this place was nice at some point. A decade ago, it was probably amazing, but not now.
When we made the booking, it advertised a bar and a restaurant. Neither of them exist anymore. The place is basically abandoned. The outside is overgrown. Apparently part of the motel is leased out to Section 8 holders, which would have been nice to know.
The outward facing door locks don't work, so you have to go clear inside and walk around the entire building just to get in your room. The beds were uncomfortable at best. Half the lights in the room didn't work. The pool area didn't smell like chlorine at all and we didn't trust it enough to use it.
We were visiting during a rain storm. Water started leaking in through the foundation resulting in wet carpet, a musty smell and damaged belongings.
I usually hate leaving negative reviews. I try to find a silver lining in everything, but I can't here. There are dozens of better lodging options in Chippewa Falls. Choose one of them. You won't regret it. I promise.
It sucks when we reserve room online, how they give a great price, but they can't guarantee a great place to stay. I asked if the room was set up for disabled people, but the water faucet was so hard to turn on that an elder would have a hard time turning it on. The tv didn't work properly. Some jerk woke
me up by hollering down the hall. When I went to check out. There was nobody at the front desk. Some guy came in and said she would be right there. I had people waiting in the car, I had to leave and still there was nobody at the desk. I will never stay there again.
America's best value Inn in Chippewa Falls is a nice hotel, if dated and having seen better days. There used to be a restaurant serving the hotel and the area, but that had since ended. The pool looks nice. The continental breakfast that was advertised on their site is only a few packets of dry goods like breakfast bars and oatmeal. No eggs, sausage, bacon, or fresh fruit. Coffee was not made fresh this morning and was a singular household pot. There used to be a place to sit and have drinks and socialize. There are a lot of used to's with this hotel. I don't know how long it will continue to be around, but "back in the day" it would have been exciting and a great new place to stay. Prices were very fair. There were also a lot of warnings about fees for damaging anything in the room. We were treated fairly and kindly by the hotel staff.
Booked 2 nights. The hotel was secluded but by the main roads. Everything was near. Main desk area was very hot, heat was turned up high. Breakfast was from 6 to 10 a quick grab and go, nothing fancy as shown in the pictures, very disappointed. Got up early to check out the options of breakfast and it wasnt even set out at 6 as they stated. There was really nothing to make since it was boxed items, breakfast was set by 6:30.
Was unable to use the pool and asked for only 1 night stay and refund for the next night, manager and other staff said they will but never did. Booked it on Priceline and had to call them myself to refund the other night i did not stay. Room smelled bad, even though we booked a non smoking room. There was cigarette burns by the tub edges. Beddings had stains. Only thing that was good is that there were 2 doors to get into each room....1 door lead to the hallways and main building and the other one was straight to the parking lot. Which I thought was a plus. Would I book again? No this place is not for me, even if the pool was open and there was hot breakfast. Rooms need upgrades.
Awful experience. Worst hotel me and my boyfriend stayed at. Pool, hot tub and work out room were “out of order” which is pretty much the only reason we choose this hotel. It’s all very run down, half the hotel is under construction, and the other half is legit falling apart.
