This was the most disgusting hotel room I have ever been in. While the receptionist/hotel staff were friendly and wonderful (and don’t deserve to be working in such a terrible place), the hotel interior and rooms were so filthy, I was left with a horrifying impression. The walls appear to be nicotine stained and floors in the stairwell were torn. It smelled badly everywhere and nothing seemed to have been wiped down or cleaned in an extremely long time. When I first entered the room, I was greeted by a bug on the wall next to the door. Two other bugs on the floor scurried away. The stench was so thick in my room that I almost vomited (didn’t get better over time/my nose never got used to it)The chairs were extremely stained, freshly dirtied, and stunk badly. The curtains were thin/able to see through and were stained/dirtied. Nothing appeared to have been wiped down or cleaned (for what appeared like months). There were no channels on the tv (which was also missing a remote) When opening a drawer in the dresser, three medium size bugs scurried around.
No written description can properly convey the amount of filth and the foul smell of that room. I would expect this from a sketchy and isolated motel room for about $35…But this place charged $77… Somehow, I’m now staying in a very nice hotel, with a visibly clean room for cheaper, RIGHT down the road (could walk there). Absolutely dumbfounded.
Save your money and go elsewhere. Very run down, dirty carpets, my door didn't even shut properly, the bathroom sink was hanging off, half the lights didn't work, and there were kids running up and down the hall nearly all night. There were no towels provided. The management was an absolute joke. The fact that this place hasn't been shut down is beyond me. You're better off sleeping in your car.
We use to stay here about a year ago and it was really clean and a good value … my how time has changed it … nastiest place I’ve ever been in.. walls were filthy, tv and mirror were dirty with what looked liked spit running down it . No smoke detector.. base was there but that was all …broken wall receptacle to plug a charger in for my phone …comforter had two very noticeable holes in it … please think twice before staying here … spend the extra 15-20$ go somewhere else…and yes the hallways stunk of smokers … and the room smelled musty … so very disappointed because this use to be a decent hotel…
Do not stay here. I found a bedbug on our first night here of an extended stay that I scheduled over the phone. I went to the front desk and no one was available, I left that same night and had to find accommodations an hour away from this location because nothing else was available. My daughter now has visible bites from something and when I spoke with the manager he said that I could not get a refund because Aiken Pest says there is no "evidence" of bed bugs in that room. He was very rude, hung up on me and in my opinion was COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Bed bugs can be anywhere and only come out when they sense body heat and carbon dioxide emissions. Only one room was "inspected" and the bugs could live in any location in this hotel and travel to each room in search of blood. I am filing a complaint with the better business bureau, contacting corporate and the local news. On top of this disgust, there were no pillow cases on the pillows and there were yellow stains on the pillows themselves. There is mold in the ceiling of
the bathroom in room 116 and this place is just nasty all around. Do not let your family sleep here.
*Edit to add: the only thing that looked new or clean in this room were the sub quality bargain mattresses, which looked brand new. According to other recent reviews about bedbug bites I'm going to assume the beds appear new because this "hotel" buys new cheap mattresses to hide evidence of bed bugs. This business has taken $392 from me and failed to provide safe lodging.
Switched rooms twice. First room was dirty and the second had burnt sheets and no air conditioning. Paid online for 4 nights and the 3rd day was asked to leave or pay even though we paid beforehand for 4 nights. There’s Bugs and no house keeping that we know of. Would definitely not recommend ever!
Turned on bathroom light and bugs ran into hiding. Almost tripped going up stairs to room due to shoddy repair work. No hot water til maybe tomorrow. Hallway reeked of bad smelled. Room smelled of mildew. Front desk clerk was nice, but no refund., But we will give you another room . I said no thank you, if bugs are in this one they will be in every room. We contacted Priceline first and not the front desk. So NO REFUND due to overstay of 30 min. Unreal
They messed up our reservation. We had 9 people with us. We reserved a room with two queen size beds and a pull out couch bed. When we got there they gave us a room with one queen size and a small couch. Then they made us pay for that room knowing we already had paid for the bigger room. When I was ready to take me and my daughter's bath there was soap left in the shower from the previous people that stayed there and I had to kill two roaches. The hallway smelled like smoke and we asked for nonsmokers room. The rooms didn't smell good either. The breakfast wasn't that good either the bread was hard and they kept running low on milk and juice. I will never go back to this place again they could have refunded our money for the big room we didn't even get. On top of it all the lady at the front desk was very rude. We asked If the pool was available earlier that week and the women said it would be but when we got there it was closed because they didn't pass DHEC inspection. Not a good hotel.
If they could get 0 stars definitely would!!! We booked a room in advance paid in advance to secure the room had to cancel our reservation more than 48 hours before we arrived there it has been almost a month and still refuses a refund! I call they hang up on me, act as if they can't hear all of a sudden or just claim they don't know how to refund anything. I definitely wouldn't waist my time or money here!!!
