Positive: You get what you pay for here. I wasn't expecting much and that's what I got. You get a room, with a bathroom, the AC worked, some channels on the tv worked. Shower leaked water EVERYWHERE and took 10 minutes for the water to warm up. Negative: The staff don't care about you or anything. I think they own the hotel and are just there to collect your money. Didn't have housekeeping come by once in the 7 nights I stayed. Shower leaked everywhere. Light pouring in from the door jam and wind sill. Negative: ""
These have to be one of the worst hotel chains in the industry. I came across this place on the internet while planning a trip to Florida. Online, the rooms looked great, but upon arrival, the clerk was rude. The room was filthy with burns in the carpet. The bedding was dirty as if it hadn't been changed, and the smell took my breath away. Getting a refund took a long time after a very long argument with the manager. Sad to say, but Indian owned properties seem to be managed as if in a third world country. We ended up at the Seabourn right off the beach, American owned, great service, management, and guests.
Be patient when looking for hotels call before making reservations, and if it's foreign managed or owned, simply hang up.
It was a great room at a great price and the location has been completely remodeled and is very appealing and has that comfy feel to it. The newly remodeled interior accents the upgraded rooms and the work on the kitchen and dining is underway and will complete the transformation of A B. V. I. from the little hotel that tried into the small but pronounced hotel that holds it's own against the franchise giants while managing to keep the atmosphere at a comfortable " YA'LL COME BACK NOW...!!!!" setting!!
BEWARE THIS HOTEL. The General Manager is beyond rude. My husband had questions upon checking in and instead of helping him, the GM was rude and unhelpful and in the end, he told my husband to get out. My husband was stranded in Texas with nowhere to go and RED LION DID NOTHING. On top of that, my husband wanted to cancel the reservation as not to be charged a fee. The GM told him NO he cannot do that at the front desk and that he has to log into the website to cancel the reservation. Even after my husband told him that his phone was about to die, he refused to help him. Red Lion later told us that the GM at the front desk was completely able to cancel it for us easily. He just refused to. When my husband asked for the corporate number to call and get help since his phone was about to die and he couldn't Google it, the GM decided to give him a FAKE NUMBER to call that was a random number elsewhere. SHAME ON THIS GM and the lack of customer service. Never staying her and urging others to stay away too!
Don’t be cheap like me. so
my place needed some repairs and since i’m remote i decided to get a room to wait it out… worst idea. .
it’s a lot so grab your popcorn.
1. indian lady at the window rude. walked into check and heard her being snarky with another patron. I asked her for a 1st floor room and offered extra $$. she said no they’re all full ( mind you the parking lot was about 10% full at 3pm… but okay.
2. room was disgusting. door didn’t lock 100% - nails on the floor in the bathroom. gnats, dirty moldy and some sort of juice in the fridge which was broken and had a smell. big bubbles on the ceiling. missing light from the lamp . half the outlets didn’t work - I had a few drinks which I had to put in trash cans. I cleaned them out with some cleaner I luckily had in my car and lined with bags while î waited for the manager to come in so î could complain. … just ghetto.
3. once i reported the room I went to ask for a change… they said they are full. right after i went back to the room and called the front desk and pretended to be someone looking for a room for the night … asked if they had rooms available - they said yes and even tried to get me to book on the phone. it’s very clear they just didn’t want to change my room.
4. carpets in the hallway were nasty and smelled like piss. back door was propped open so anybody can just walk in.
I left and went to another hotel.. luckily my credit card company refunded me after I showed them all of the pictures and videos. hotel didn’t want to refund me but i told them i’ll get my money back one way or another.. and i did - i also put a complaint in to the health department. ain’t no way a hotel should be this damn nasty. I can’t believe it to this day.
5. as i was leaving to go to different hotel, i’m almost positive i saw a trucker getting head in the parking lot. yeah i’m not against people getting their groove on.. but that just tells you how ghetto this hotel is. i wouldn’t be surprised if it was a hub for the night walkers. anyway. be blessed if you decide to stay ????????♀️
If I could give it 0 stars I would. The cleaning crew was great. But there was food still in the refrigerator from multiple guests behind me. Rotten milk. Random red liquid in a Tupperware. Moldy bread in the fridge. It was obvious the fridge hadn’t been cleaned in sometime. Also, the toilet wouldn’t flush and I had to fix it myself. But when I left, the hotel staff asked my friend to ask me to clean the hotel room. I left 0 mess minus a full trash can and maybe some scraps that I figured would get swept up quickly. Yet they asked me to clean up the “large mess” I never made. They were kind enough to let me bring my dog with a small fee but the fact they asked me to clean a mess I never made and then to tell me I had to clean out the fridge despite it obviously not being my good in there, is absurd.
Extremely Dissatisfactory Experience:
We recently encountered a highly disappointing service situation that compelled us to share our concerns. Upon our employee's arrival for check-in, we regrettably observed an altercation between your staff member and the General Manager, characterized by raised voices and unprofessional behavior. Subsequently, our employee was denied the intended service and faced undue hurdles when seeking a refund, a process that was needlessly convoluted for their spouse.
As an organization, we place paramount importance on seamless and respectful interactions with service providers. Regrettably, the events that transpired at your establishment did not align with our expectations of professionalism. Given the circumstances, we were compelled to redirect our employees to alternative accommodations nearby for an upcoming event.
We believe that effective communication, courteous service, and swift issue resolution are central to fostering positive business relationships. It is our hope that this feedback serves as an opportunity for improvement, facilitating a more harmonious experience for future patrons. We remain committed to identifying establishments that reflect our values and can adequately cater to the needs of our team members.
We appreciate your attention to this matter and trust that it will be addressed in a constructive manner. Thank you for your understanding.
I checked in quite late (3AM) as I stay hours away from Dallas. I was placed in a room which I did NOT feel comfortable in. I was frustrated and I needed rest for my 2PM training in Carrollton. I asked the receptionist (on the overnight shift), who looked tired as well, if she can have me switched. At first she said there wasn't any rooms available because most are reserved. But after I kept on pleading, she finally gave me a new room. It was a room I felt comfortable and happy with. The lady was awesome! I am so grateful for her. I was able to settle in and get ready for my training. Oh and location is fabulous as it is within a very upscale, pleasant neighborhood. I decided to extend my stay for another night and left about 2AM. I never got to thank the lady, but I am forever grateful for her. I will be staying here again!
