This is a sketchy dump. There was a cop car in the parking lot because someone had assaulted the clerk at the front desk. There was also trash strewn around the property, and old fixtures. I didn't even see a room but saw yellowed, ugly curtains. To top it off, they wanted a $100 deposit in cash only. No way, Jose. We hightailed it out of there. Don't walk away from this place. RUN.
I hardly speak negative about a place of business but my husband and I made a HUGE! mistake patronizing this place. The rooms were so stale smelling and because we KINDLY asked for our money back some strange man came in the room screaming telling us to get out! get out! I had to ask the man to get out of my face I really could not believe it! I was wondering if that happened because I was muslim ☪️ idk. Bt please I STRONGLY advise read the reviews before purchasing.
Take all of these reviews as a WARNING! The owner obviously scams more often than not when it comes to rooms. I had taken my husband and mother out for a weekend in Atlantic City and we booked this room as a last resort. I booked the room right in the parking lot and walked in to speak to the lady at the front desk. She immediately told me there is a $100 CASH fee. When I told her I did not have the cash on hand and there was no notice of it online, she gave a major attitude and was dismissive. I asked her if I can cancel the room and she told me no I would have to call. Keep in mind this is about 15 minutes after I just booked the room. I tell her no problem and I call the booking site, they tell me they need to call the hotel and ask for the refund, the Same lady who just spoke to me and told me to cancel would have to be handled by the site used is now on the phone with the woman trying to assist me, and she tells them she is REJECTING the cancellation. so she scammed us out of $180 for a room we never stayed in when she couldn't get the $100 cash she wanted out of us. She was extremely rude about the whole process even before mentioning her scam fee. Do not book with them, I have no clue how they're open, maybe from all the money of customers she refused to refund. I even tried to call her after calling the website and she HUNG UP ON ME! Obviously they have no clue how to treat a customer.
Room was ok but staff was ill mannered and not at all professional. We checked in around 3 and nobody was in office. We waited few minutes. Guy behind desk was rude and seems he did not like customers coming through online sites. Room was decent enough but carpet was smelling of smoke. Seems hotel was modified lately. Towel was not sufficient enough, only bath and hand towel. Face towel was not there.
one thing which irritated me most was, when we asked for toothpaste which we forgot to carry of course, he charged us $5, nope, , that guy called us before check out and asked to come over and give them $5 immediately. I told him, when we will checkout i ll pay all dues but he was rigid and said, he ll come to my room to get his $5. I was so furious. First of all, i should not be charged and now he is behaving like this.
Definitely avoid if you don’t want to face rude owner
The place says it's remodeled, but this is not true. Yes the room was recently painted, and there was new carpeting, but the bathroom was outdated with old towels and the bare minimum. The were no tissues and barely any toilet tissue. The refrigerator had not been cleaned and the freezer was full of ice. Definitely will not stay here again. The price was reasonable being it was booked last minute and the owner was very pleasant.
The people at the front desk are rude and very dismissive. When you check in you have to pay $100 CASH security deposit. They say oh it’s listed on the on the site which it wasn’t when I booked. There were several very unhappy guest checking in prior to me. I can’t wait to check out of this place. The room is big, but definitely needs a major upgrade. It has an old smell. The whole situation is just questionable. Definitely would not recommend.
I have been here several times and some of the rooms are nicer than other others. I have seen other reviews saying the service was bad but i have never had a problem with it. I just follow the rules( like no smoking in the room) and I have never had a problem! The only thing is that some of the rooms are nicer than others.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!! They will take your money and spit in your face!!!!! Stay away & close this place down immediately!!!! The people at the front desk will make u want to get behind that desk !!!
