Best WLM Reviews
Had a first appointment here! I drove 40 minutes to give this place a try since the reviews seemed good! The people at the front desk are nice and welcoming, but however I didn’t care for the psychiatric nurse I had! I came to this place to get on an antidepressant that I need desperately for my depression! I told dr Martin that I wanted to get back on a old medication that I’ve been on in the past from another doctor to help my depression and anxiety and she kept beating around the bush and didn’t really give me the care I needed! And she also wanted my mom involved and I’m 21 years old! She didn’t want to prescribe a medication without my moms consent! Like really? I’m over 18! She was just making everything more difficult than it had to be. Like you are getting paid big money to do a whole lot of nothing! I could kind of tell right from the get she wasn’t for me! She also just wanted me to go to an inpatient facility! Like I’m trying to come to you to get on a medication to see if it would help first before going into further action like that if I didn’t have to! Nobody likes psych hospitals! Like this is why so many people end up taking their lives or end up worse, because they fail us! She was a waste of my time!
Once I was seen it was great! I did have my appt get cancelled because the forms weren’t completed. They did attempt to call me and left messages saying my appt would be cancelled if I didn’t get them in, which I didn’t get so when I showed up, my appt was cancelled. They also still sent me a confirmation text the night before, so I was not tracking the cancellation. So if you’re someone who doesn’t answer unknown phone numbers, just make sure you are up on your voicemail. Thankfully I got a different appt the following day and my experience was great. ????????
This office and staff are the greatest gifts that God has placed on earth. They have been so supportive and professional. I am happy to say I am glad I chose this office. My doctor is awesome. God be the glory.
On my visit with Dr. Balavak, the experience was so genuine . He cares about his patients.
He listens, and he doesn't judge. He is the best doctor and the staff is amazing. I am grateful.
Very nice office with friendly staff!
It’s very nice being able to do telehealth visits with Grace Onuegbu, she has been thorough with explaining interactions between my medicines and has given me good advice! Grace is soft spoken, sweet, and understanding of my long term health issues, be it physical, emotional or mental, and she informed me of what would be better for my health issues by suggesting a support group for my health issues! I would definitely go back to Grace Onuegbu if ever needed again!
For a while I had a great doctor then I got dr Martin and she was ok for a little bit but because she isn’t listening to me and putting me on the dose I was on and arguing with me with what I was on even after showing her the bottle from the past she switches the meds which is fine but puts me on the lowest dose won’t change it and puts me on it for 2 days then says she renewed a med and didn’t ….. she doesn’t listen. I am requesting a new doctor asap
UPDATE: 3 days after posting this I got a letter saying I am not following my treatment plan. But I didn’t know going to my appointments and being honest and sitting there for 2 hours while they never sent me the link is not following the treatment plan. She spends 5 min with me and dr Martin was horrible from day 1. She don’t do anything I actually do her job for her. She doesnt listen and if she is talking about the blood work well I got into an accident so I can’t get it done at the moment . She was horrible from day 1. Don’t go here it’s a waste of time she hates her job.i might seek a lawyer for non compliance or her part and not caring for the patient. Others have complained stop so I will be finding a higher up and making sure this is taken care of. She is out of control
I’ve visited the office the other day. It was very welcoming and clean. The doctor was easy to talk to and very professional. She was honest and helpful. Would definitely recommend them
Do NOT go here. I make appointments and I have to wait an hour for them to see me. I’ve been waiting for a callback for over a week, but nobody answers the phone. It is so unprofessional That I haven’t been able to have my medication for two weeks and I’m experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Do not put yourself through this by going here.
I corresponded multiple times with this office, but unfortunately was unable to obtain treatment due to a policy they have in place. They require that every Spravato patient brings a companion with them to sit through treatment with them. For those who don’t know, Spravato is a 2+ hour treatment that must be done in the office twice a week. To take off time from work for this treatment is difficult enough, but to also require a family member to accompany the patient creates a serious barrier, preventing many patients from receiving treatment. I personally work with Spravato at my own clinic, and am familiar with the FDA regulations surrounding the administration of this drug. This policy is not a part of those regulations.
It would appear that they are enforcing this policy as a way for the technicians to check in less frequently, and most likely free them up to take more patients. However, it is the responsibility of the technician, acting under the doctor’s license, to regularly check on each patient and confirm their safety. Offloading that responsibility to an untrained companion is both negligent and unethical.
When I informed them that this policy is preventing me from obtaining treatment, they were incredibly callous and unhelpful. They were not willing to explain why their policy is in place and did nothing to offer any kind of sincerity or care for my situation. I don’t expect to be coddled, but a practice specializing in the treatment of severe depression should prioritize showing compassion to their patients who are suffering. Working at my clinic, I have often found that showing kindness to your patients is a crucial element of treatment. Showing genuine compassion greatly helps depressed patients feel at ease and able to receive treatment without anxiety or distress. It is especially valuable for patients with suicidal ideation who are seeking care.
I expressed my concerns regarding their policy, and they refused to engage with me. I did not send a hysterical or harassing email. I simply stated what I am stating now. Not only did they fail to explain their policy, but they told me I could talk to the office manager, who I called, and never called me back. The level of professionalism in their written correspondence is disappointing enough, but to prevent patients from receiving lifesaving treatment is appalling to say the least.
