Food was very delicious! Love the variety of food options and the portion sizes. The only thing is that the all- you- can- eat menu was only in Portuguese so it took a while for us to order since we had to ask the waiter to help translate.
It was almost closing time but they still served us and were extremely polite. Lucyana and Monica are by far the best servers I have ever had in Florida. We got the all you can eat course and the took us step by step on what to expect. I've never had sushi like this before. I would recommend this experience to anyone.
I have the experience, and it was just that the food was delicious. I couldn’t even come close to eating all that was brought to the table. Fun spins on the recipes with a contemporary play on the flavors using truffle and citrus a lot with the fish 10 out of 10, highly recommend!!
We had a great time. The food experience they offer truly is an experience! We left the restaurant more than satisfied. Shout out to Sann! Professional and friendly, and extremely good with the kiddos!
Great food! My family and I came here and ordered the Experience. It was very good and I recommend. I loved especially the banana and Nutella dessert!
All the employees were super welcoming at all times. The food was way better than expected with all kind of different sushi’s and desert are included in the experience. Have absolutely no complains about this place everything was perfect and at a super affordable price. The place is super clean and good music.
Really happy with this place. The staff were so nice and attentive. The 35 dollar special was totally worth it all you can eat and desert. We were very pleased. Even did table side hand rolls. If we lived closer we would go often.
Disappointing Experience at American Japa Sushi - Discrimination and Poor Service
I rarely leave negative reviews, but our recent visit to American Japa Sushi was a disaster. We chose this restaurant to celebrate my daughter's birthday, based on recommendations. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by subpar service, limited food options, and blatant discrimination.
Issues:
1. Misleading "All-You-Can-Eat" concept: Limited variety and no options to choose from.
2. Slow service: Our server forgot our requests multiple times, despite the restaurant being empty.
3. Water was complimentary but hard to get: We had to ask repeatedly for water.
4. Poor food quality: Thinly sliced salmon and excessive rice.
5. No birthday acknowledgment: Despite informing them of my daughter's birthday.
6. Automatic gratuity: 25% added to our bill without notice or menu disclosure.
7. Discrimination: Server claimed gratuity was for the "mess" caused by our children, implying extra charges due to family size.
Resolution:
After questioning the gratuity, the server removed it, and I voluntarily tipped 15% because I always tip since I was a server in the past. However, the manager's lack of explanation and apology raised concerns about discriminatory practices. I asked if this was a policy, normal practice and Viviane the manager said it’s not. They don’t usually add gratuity to large parties and I asked so what’s the reason and the server said because of the mess, I asked if there’s a fee for a mess and the manager said that’s also not a policy. We made the mistake of trying to celebrate a bday here. Never coming back!
Conclusion:
Our experience was ruined by poor service, subpar food, and discriminatory treatment. I suspect we were targeted due to our cultural background. He thought I was a Brazilian Tourist. Little did he know I was born and raised in the US but speak Portuguese. Avoid this restaurant unless you want to risk similar treatment.

I forgot to mention they have grilled salmon temakis but it’s served cold! How do they grill it and then chill it? Well that just proves they use left overs!! Gross!!
