We were forced to stay here due to Beryl and no vacancies anywhere else. The only thing nice about this place, the staff is nice. We've been here 4 nights, no fridge or microwave. There is bugs everywhere. Not very clean honestly didn't want to sleep in the bed. There working on remodeling so there's old furniture everywhere not to mention they start very loud banging every morning around 6. I wouldn't of stayed if I had any other options. I see why they were the only ones with vacancies. My first and last time staying at an American inn. ????. Very sad because the location is Amazing!
I honestly wasn't going to leave a review until one of the owner's just walked in our room this morning, and as we were leaving mean mugs me like we did something wrong ????????♀️????
This so called hotel has the first owner as I had to unfortunately stay there for over 1 year.
No room service if you stay more than 2 nights.
????HARD TIME GETTING TOWELS AND SHEETS.
????No ice machines.
Laundry is not always accessible. No coffee or breakfast ofcourse.
They do not spray for any bugs.
????If you have an emergency, the lady at the front Kathy will not allow you to use the office phone.
‼️I almost died crawling into the office when she told me I couldn't call the police from her phone. Loud music & excessive noise will not be stopped by anyone.
The only ones who I know actually cared about anyone was Sherry & Nelsa which is gone now.
The owner charged our card different amounts every month for almost 2 years.
We had to fix everything ourselves. ‼️No cameras outside that run at night time which means no security at all. They had roaches when I got there yet I baited the room once every 2 weeks which cost a lot of money. Now that I left, the entire place is invested with roaches.
Stayed in the same room both times I came to Sealy and the first time I came the flooring was loose, there was a hole in the bathroom wall and hair everywhere. Visiting again and nothing had changed except now there are roaches.
Wow if I could give no stars I absolutely would! I arrived late around 9 pm I found this motel on Priceline, I thought it was going to be nice! I rang the bell and the lady came, she was going to charge me more than the price online but when I asked her about it, then she told me it's cheaper if you book online, so I did. My first impression in person was not good, lots of stragglers and some people that look like they live there hanging out in the parking lot. I was still willing to give it a chance after all I just let them charge my card $70. First impression of the room, terrible smell and hot! I walked into the bathroom and their were a bunch of little roaches everywhere! Gross! The bathroom looked like it wasn't clean, there was no way I was going to take a shower! Walked over to the bed to check for bed bugs, sure enough it also had bed bugs!!! I immediately called the lady and told her, she was very apologetic and explained that she couldn't give me a refund I would have to talk to the manager the next day. So the following day I called, finally got Nelsa on the phone and she said that there were no bed bugs that she checked, lies!! I explained to her that there were indeed bed bugs and that I have a picture to prove it, she refused to refund my money, she explained that the owner gives no refund no matter what the case may be! Wow! Really? So I had to go through the hassle of finding another place to sleep the night before and then contacting my bank to dispute it!! Never stay there!! Horrible!!!
The pictures that are shown on Travelocity and all the other booking sites are very misleading their pool is concreted in there is no breakfast they don't have a ice machine but the front desk person was very nice and very accommodating rooms were ok. Housekeeping could have been better there was hair in our bathtub and hair on the floor in our room. Location to where we needed to go was excellent.
As promised, I am editing my review. I went downstairs this morning and the front desk was giving a heater to the maintenance man for my room! He was such a nice guy and the lady at the front desk this morning was very apologetic and genuinely compassionate towards my family's circumstances. I would most definitely recommend this establishment. Everyone was extremely friendly and kind and like I said in my previous post, the room was very clean and updated. Thanks to all for the accommodation.
Positive: Excellent rate, nice location, large room. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.. Negative: The room needs to be thoroughly cleaned. Around the toilet, behind the dresser were very dirty. The bathroom floor was sticky. There were cigarette ashes on the head board, and it`s supposed to be a smoke free room. I wanted to use the computer in the lobby to print my boarding passes, but it wouldn`t load anything and was basically useless..
This is an average America's Best Value hotel. Nothing flashy or special about it. Rooms were worn, but liveable. They have microwaves and mini fridges in each room. Also a flat-screen TV in each room. Beds were OK. Room prices are a tad on the high side, even for their weekly contractor rate. Didn't see any bug infestation. The room did smell stale, nothing turning on the AC couldn't take care of. Wi-Fi didn't work most of the time, when it did - it was very slow. ||I'd stay here again. My experience wasn't a bad one, just an average one.
