We had a great first experience. We didn’t have to wait long, the staff was kind and caring towards our 1 year old who was scared and upset. The PA was thorough, listened to our concerns and wasn’t dismissive. He provided us with adequate info to make an informed decision on how we wanted him to treat our child. We’ll definitely go back when needed.
Staff is great. All of them!!! The wait times are way too long based on the patients waiting. Not sure why. I think they need help. This may be petty to some. However, they had a mouse trap in all the bathrooms. I am petrified of mice!!! So that was a bit concerning.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Matthew Lee- PA, Nurse Sarah, and the front desk staff for the exceptional care they provided to my ill mother during her time in Knoxville. Despite the long wait, Matthew was incredibly professional, kind, and genuinely apologetic, which made a stressful situation feel much more manageable. His thorough attention to detail and compassionate demeanor were greatly appreciated.
Nurse Sarah was equally wonderful—kind, attentive, and incredibly patient. The front desk staff were amazing as well, greeting us warmly and handling everything efficiently with a smile, even in a busy environment.
This team truly exemplifies what compassionate care should look like. Thank you all for going the extra mile.
Needed an X-ray of knee, hand and wrist. Nurse was kind and professional. The doctor was informative and professional. He took his time to explain everything to me. Highly recommend. Scheduling was easy, check in took less than 5 minutes.
The up front staff(Dawn) was friendly and smiling and made us feel very welcome. Quick check in. The nurse that called us back was just as nice and friendly. The NP that seen us (Nolan), was nice enough, however, he clearly saw infection and swelling in my sons ear and my son is in a lot of pain, but he recommended we wait a few days to see if it clears up. I’ve never had a professional to tell me that. He called in Antibiotic and I immediately had my son take the med to help him feel better. I would go back but when seeing Nolan, use my best Mother judgement in taking care of my children. I’m grateful they are here to help us as we were on vacation and they made it easier for us. I still give them 2 thumbs up!!! God bless them
Dr Mathew Lee is amazing he worked so well with my 15 yr old severely autistic son. Better than his normal pediatrician. He’s a very talented physician with a wonderful bedside manner I was so surprised to find that level of care at an urgent care doc in a box type place.
I went to have tests done after falling ill, but I never received the results, even after weeks of waiting. By the time my illness subsided, I contacted the clinic to inform them I hadn’t received my results. They seemed completely unaware of the issue. I was told that since I no longer needed the results, the charge would be removed from my account.
Now, months later, I’ve received a call from a debt collector claiming that American Family Care has been trying to contact me about an outstanding balance. However, I have no record of them attempting to reach out even once.
This entire experience has been frustrating and unprofessional. I will not be returning to this clinic, and unless you want the potential debt collector calling you, I strongly recommend others avoid it as well.
Front staff was friendly and personable. The PA was respectful and professional. He was definitely going as fast as he could to take care of all the patients. The wait was long but you’ll have that at most clinics. Several people were going up to the front desk asking about the wait. And the staff said exactly the right thing. “We don’t know, there’s several patients back there with different issues and it’s difficult to time stamp that.” Folks gotta realize they’re gonna wait.
