Best WLM Reviews
There was a short wait list before entering the lounge, I’m so glad I waited. I traveled on October 31st, the lounge was festive, they gave away candy bags and offered tons of pumpkin spice themed treats. The lounge was well kept with savory food options available.
I highly recommend for those traveling through SeaTac.
I found the food to be okay and the place was relatively clean, considering it was 3/4 full. The staff were excellent and always busy trying to keep everything running smoothly, so shout out to them.
I'm not a fan of the layout. I visited during a short trip, but I can't imagine spending a long layover here. The seating area isn't as comfortable or private as other lounges where you can recharge during a layover.
Most Amex lounge are pretty standard now. Provides better than food court level quality buffet. Has somewhat comfortable seating. What i found that differs from one Amex lounge to another is the local managers and workers. The "manager" Mallory has been the game changer here. First, I was 3 hours and 9 minutes from my flight. The rule at Seattle lounge is strict 3 hours. I was given a lecture from her about being too early and that she could send me back out and to the back of the line but going to do me a favor and let me in early this time. She was no doubt exerting power play over you. (Mind you that I already waited 15-20 minutes in line waiting to go upstairs to the lounge) I have been to many other amex lounge regularly and I have never been harassed like this - I've gone to Dallas 5 hrs before flight, Houston 4 hrs before flight, etc w no problems. Had they told me, I would understand but with 9 minutes and a threat to send me back outside and back of the line is ridiculous. Overall the lounge itself was a good experience and hope I don't run into Mallory again as she has ruined what otherwise would have been a nice visit. There is another review by Isabella to same effect earlier with a picture of Mallory. I hope Amex recognizes this pattern and corrects it. 2nd time showers were "down for maintenance"....
Crowded, need to wait, food is soso.
They could replace smoothies and sorbets with some meets. This is not like in Atlanta, smaller and less variety
It is an amazing Amex centurion lounge with great food & drink options along with views of the olympics, if you make it inside!
In addition to a bar, there is also a coffee counter with light snacks. Full buffet with a rotating line up ensures you get different offerings on every visit - has soup, mains, breads, salad and dessert.
However, only downside has been that on recent visits it became increasingly difficult to access the lounge. There was a 30-45min wait time to enter with queue. Couldn’t understand the approach being used to allow people to enter as it didn’t match with the number of people exiting the lounge at any time. Once upstairs, the lounge had a lot of empty space.. which makes the whole waiting experience frustrating. Seats reserved for large groups or specific card holders don’t help either, leaving few options for smaller groups to find a seat.
Situations here needs attention wrt how the lounge access is managed and the demand vs lounge capacity.
Lol, You gotta love their strategy . They sell their credit card however cheap they can and fill this lounge to the max so that you will never be able to use them. I was never able to use this facility as they always had a wait ..
This facility could probably take 20 folks at a time..
When you do get in, it's an amazing lounge. The food is very tasty, the service is quick and professional, and the ambiance is great. Plenty of seating. I could have gotten lucky because I went at around 8:30pm so there was virtually no crowd. Wifi works.
Missing 1 star because I did miss the chance to go here due to the ridiculously long line last time.
