I checked in today for a week stay. They do not offer Refunds firstly. I have a task trained service dog and was told they typically charge for them but would “make an exception”. Charging for a service dog is illegal anyways. We checked into a room. The toilet does not fully flush and the door does not lock at all. It opens. With or without a keycard. We were told they’d come by later. They didn’t. I got back and found they had failed to finish fixing things. Went up to the front counter no one’s there. I’ve been calling every few minutes and no one answers. Our AC is also barely working. I have seizures and sleeping in the heat can be a trigger. This hotel is safer than being on the streets but not by much. Avoid staying here unless absolutely necessary. This is ridiculous, unsafe, and the fact people are paying to stay here?
Update. We were asked to vacate the premise. After multiple times addressing the issues with the front desk and refusal to do anything my sister tried speaking with them. Instead of fixing the multitude of issues they kicked us out. The only thing they fixed was the key card lock. Everything else was not fixed.
The list includes:
-broken door with no doorstop/deadbolt
- no trash can
- refusal to provide fresh sheets and no laundry on site
- no smoke detector
- no bathroom door
- non working toilet
-exposed wires
-roaches
- lack of security cameras
This place needs to be shut down until they can provide habitable rooms. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR SAFETY
Room is disgusting, roach infested, dust everywhere look like it hasn’t been cleaned in months, smashed roach carcasses on the walls, this motel needs to be shut down expeditiously I don’t care what nobody says I’ve stayed it better motels than this for way cheaper
This was the worst place we have ever stayed in. We had a reservation for a first floor, no smoking room. We got there, and they gave us a second floor smoking room. My husband had to go to the store and get 3 air fresheners and decongestant medication. The room was VERY dusty. The piece de resistance was we couldn't use the toilet without getting a plunger from the office. Oh, also people were yelling in the hall ALL NIGHT. Never ever stay here.
Stayed one night. Very large room and pretty clean to the eye but not sure how deeply clean it is. General Manager was nice others were not so much. Did see a few white spots on the floor and did not care much for the smell. It sort of smelt like a fruity vapor used for electric cigarettes but a little sickening. Had to ask for more towels and no pillows or sheets on or for pull out sleeper. It was night time and front desk people act as if no one could give us any to use because it was after 8 and only one person was working the front desk. Its good as far as size but I kind of feel that I could have gotten a better hotel for the price though. I would try all other options before settling for this one next time. But please avoid motel 6 on Richmond Road. Motel 6 was nasty all over, smelled terrible, little tacks holding ragged furniture together. Very nasty pillows covers and sheets. This one is better than motel 6.
It was the worst part of my trip to Williamsburg.
Bed was hard, bathroom ceiling was licking water from upstairs all night long (I am still not sure if it was water because the bathroom was stinky).
TV didn’t work, the appearance of the building inside was dirty, scary, and dark. Also, at the entrance of the building where I had to stay there were a deposit of trash bags sitting right at the main door. On top of that, people sat blocking the entrance to smoke. It was a scary situation just to look from outside this building. Honestly, I didn’t get any sleep just thinking that someone was going to break into my room.
As people say: you get what you pay. If $78.00 per night is considered cheap than I guess you get a cheap place.
My recommendation is to pay a bit extra and get a cozy place where you don’t put yourself under the stress and bad experience during your vacation.
bed bugs big as my thumb roaches in the bathtub and they threw out some of our stuff while “cleaning” including a social security card and an ID. front desk won’t answer but I doubt we’ll get them back even if he does. Door wouldn’t open with the room key on the second night and nobody would come to the desk, plus the phone in the lobby doesn’t work so we couldn’t call them down. Had to spend the night in our car and a roach pulled up on us in the parking lot talkin bout “nice watch”. Don’t stay here
This place was super sketch. First off, the door looked like it had been kicked in and it took some special maneuvering to open. The lock latch was broken. Most the light switches didn't work in our room. There were these weird stairs that led up into another room with a busted door knob. There was also some mysterious red stains on the floor. This place would be a big old NOPE from me.
If I could a no star rating, I would. This place is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Beds are rock hard. Bathroom is filthy. Air conditioning doesn't work. Some of the scum of the Earth are living here. Cigarette butts in the halls. Manager is rude, disrespectful, and speaks terrible English. The people who live here are even worse and probably all have a criminal record. If you absolutely have to stay here, get a police escort to make sure you get between your car and your room alive. Also, be on the lookout for drug dealers in the parking lot. There are confirmed gangs here!!!
