I have been to this location many times and the exam overall was good and got accurate prescriptions and get selection of glasses. However I was in recently with my son, he had been having issues with a red eye. I was concerned about it. This appointment had a virtual doctor so no one to actually look at his eye in person. I was told it was dry eye and to use artificial tears. His eye kept getting worse and worse. Turns out it was actually an infection and he needed an antibiotic. Not a fan of the virtual doctors, there is room for too much error. Definitely will be finding a place to go that has an actual on site doctor from here on out.
Waited over 2 hours just to be told by the eye doctor my contacts were a good fit. Then they also fitted me for their brand of contacts even tho I told them I was gonna shop around and compare prices so I needed a brand I go buy online if I found it for a better deal.
Commenting on the Silverdale, Washington location. The optometrist they had on staff got my prescription wrong. Got it at another location and reordered the glasses. About 3 months with out being able to use the glasses I purchased. They did make it right and I did not have to pay to get it fixed.
The place is seriously understaffed. Despite that the gal that did the digital exam had the patience of a saint. Didn’t make note of her name????. I prefer going here because usually they are pretty efficient and price is reasonable. But it was wild…2 .5 hrs when all said and done, rescheduled due to lack of doctors originally and several people were sent away after waiting because of equipment issues. Have to take hubby back as he has been rescheduled now twice. 4 stars because the ones that went to work were doing their absolute best to hold it together.
I have been getting my eye exams here for a few years now and it have been a good experience until today.
I had my appointment at 1230, waited until 1250 still haven't been taken to the pre-exam room yet. Went to the desk to explain that Ive been waiting and I have another appointment at 1:20. She told me that these appointments are usually 1hour long etc. and reschedule me for a different day. However, no one should be waiting there for 20mins for not even getting a pre-chrcm done. This is ridiculous. I don't even wear eye glasses. I do my annual checks because I had PRK from the past. I now considered to find a different place in the future.
We scheduled an appt with the doctor for contacts. Went to the appt and got told that they didn't actually schedule the appt with the doctor and that they don't do contacts. I'm not sure what these guys do exactly, but it's not medical care related to eyes.
I came here in 2021 and felt like they did a really good job. I came in today for an appointment and it felt incredibly rushed and I now apparently have 20/20 vision even though I previously had a prescription but I was not asked about my previous prescription at all the entire time I was there. My last test was very thorough, today it was literally just reading letters on a wall, a very quick pressure check that I jumped out of my seat for and didn't get told to redo (last time I was told to redo 3 or 4 times.) Then when I got into the actual exam room I was told to read the letters and because I was able to read the last line with the 0 prescription lens I was told I had 20/20 vision. Even though in the first room I was only able to read to the 2nd and 3rd line with each eye covered, in the actual exam room I wasn’t tested for each single eye. My appointment from the time I entered the first room to the time I finished in the second room (including the wait time in between) was less than 10 minutes.
I popped into America’s best to adjust my glasses that I purchased online and Vangie had me in and out in under 5 minutes! All for free, what a great deal and what a great location here in Silverdale, Washington love you guys. You’re the best.
