Best WLM Reviews
I always have an amazing experience here. Christina and the rest of the staff are so great. I purchased quite a few pair of glasses these past few months and the service was always top-notch. Their customer service exceeded my expectations. Just an overall friendly staff, prompt delivery on the lenses, and exceptional value for the price. Highly recommend!
first time getting glasses, The eye doctor was amazing very sweet. And Shane was very helpful went above and beyond! really made the first time special for my boy.
We had the best experience ever with Shane today while getting my daughter’s first pair of glasses. He was so kind and patient and made sure that she was well taken care of. We absolutely loved our experience here and will be back!
The service person I had was terrible. He was as unhelpful as he could be. His appearance was unkempt and dirty. Dirty fingernails and yawning and stretching back in his chair and then belching.
He had no idea what he was doing and refused to give me a straight answer to the costs of the glasses. The other sales people were having personal discussions across the selling floor and ignoring customers.
I got up and paid for the eye exam and left. I went to Walmart and had exemplary service and for the same price. Don’t waste your time or money at this store.
I came in an hour before closing and these ANGELS helped me right away! They were so kind and understanding. My sisters glasses were eaten by the dog and they replaced them for me immediately. I would 100% recommend you to come here. They acted quickly and their prices are very affordable. Thank you to the angel who helped us out beyond what she needed to!! Hope you get lots of blessings ????
Rescheduled my appointment for prior day without consulting. So i had to reschedule it again myself. Confirmed appointment multiple times including that morning. Drove 40 miles. They canceled by text my 1pm appointment at 1pm as I pulled into parking. "Sorry. Dr went to lunch. We don't offer grace period for last appt before lunch" Then sent me on my way without offer to wait or reschedule. I've previously waited 20 to 45 minutes "browsing glasses" while I waited for Dr. I don't recall "offering grace periods" either.
Was def not thrilled with my most recent experience at the Mays Landing location. Employees couldn’t be bothered to assist me in picking out frames. I was rushed while looking to come pay for my eye exam. Well I planned on getting the glasses so my exam would be included. But Monica was hungry. Crunching on her whatever asking me to come pay after literally just walking out from my exam I made it to the first section of frames. Then continues to complain about how hungry she is and needs to go on break. Ok fine I get the hint. I paid $70 for my eye exam and left not ordering glasses. At least I got my current frames tightened and a copy of my script so I can go somewhere else with it. Oh n it’s the same script that they wouldn’t read off my current lenses cuz it’s old but after doing my exam the dr decides she’s just going to write the same script I’m currently using because I like it n it didn’t change much. So $70 to write down what I already have. Yay me!! Oh it was $69 not $70 I’d hate to give misinformation.
I made a 5:00 appointment with America's Best for my daughter Thursday August 22, we got there checked in- at the very start there was confusion with the insurance, I was told my insurance plan is "kinda out of network" so I would only get 47$ for frames, lens should be completely covered(which is weird since out of network usually goes for the entire service), and she said the service was covered for my daughters eye exam. So we head to the back, as we were walking away a man that came in after us was also getting checked- in, he was joking around and was very familiar with the staff, which is fine, I continued to the back with my daughter and had a seat. Then the man from the front came back and had a seat. When the tech came out she took him before us, now we were not early on our appointment and if there were two scheduled at the same time how was he able to jump in front of us when he was checked in after ours was complete? Clearly the familiarity exhibited at check-in got him some special privileges to jump to the front of the line, so I let that go...fast forward to after my daughter gets her eyes checked, while waiting for the prescription we were looking for glasses, it was just my daughter and I and the man upfront, no other customers, so the store was not slammed..but no one tried to help us or asked us if we needed anything, we made it all the way to front of the store and my daughter tried on 5 sets of glasses, still no help...where were all the employees you may ask, they were gathered around the man who was able to cut in front of us, helping him, joking and really making sure he received great service...but my daughter and I were just standing and waiting, sooo we walked over to the tech from the back who was sitting behind the front desk and told her we had to go because my daughter had practice and would be back tomorrow, I said is that fine? she said yes so we left. Some minutes after we left (after they all finished knee-slapping and kekekeing with the one customer) I received a phone call that I needed to come back and sign papers and pay...Well that was crazy because the girl that checked us in said the exam was covered, which I told the man on the phone.. he then said no its not because our exam is 69$ and your insurance only cover 47$, then he went on to say and we still need your signature to submit it to insurance...Well thats when I explained how unhappy I was about the guy cutting in line, and being ignored while looking for glasses, he apologized and said he would forward the information to his manager. But even the information I got about my insurance coverage was wrong. I told him I would be in tomorrow(today) to complete the service, but then after talking to my daughter who also thought it was rude we won't be back. We won't be back to America's Best at all...since we were ignored and given wrong information I will take my business elsewhere...
update: we went to Lens Crafters today, the technician that did my daughters pre exam was very nice and took her time completing all the test, Dr. Khoury examined her eyes and explained her prescription, and as soon as we walked over to the glasses we were greeted by a wonderful sales consultant named Franky (Frances)- he was very nice helped with glasses and lens between the eye exam (39$) out of pocket and the total for her glasses ($47) out of pocket, we do have insurance, we saved more then we would have at American Best and the service was top notch....Lens Crafters for the win!!
