I wanted to give a shout out to both Janine and Voncelle at the 580 Highway 17 N North Myrtle Beach, SC location of America’s Best, they went above and beyond to save my weekend.
I’m on a Men’s group golf weekend and my glasses broke at 6:35 PM and I was 20 minutes away from their store on a rainy Friday evening when I called and asked if there was any way they could fix my glasses, I can’t play Golf or Drive without them. I had to drive holding them on my nose and pulled up right at closing time and these ladies were so professional, were of service and made sure my glasses were perfect before they left..
I give my highest personal recommendation to this location, they worked as a team and pulled off a successful repair in minutes! Ladies, I can’t thank you enough and I sure hope I didn’t cut into your weeekend!

So far as I can tell my vision prescription is fine but I gave to give a 2 star review based on my experience with the staff. First, did not receive call when my glasses were in. I had to call to find out. Second, the staff that fits the glasses definitely were not happy to assure that you received a comfortable and proper fit. I had a complaint that my glasses were fitting higher on one side and I have to say I have never had anyone in customer service so unwillingly to listen to me. I just gave up because I did not want to argue, she clearly did. My husband who was with me couldn't believe how she acted.
I was extremely disappointed in the service that I received from America’s Best.” I was told that I would be called when my glasses came in. I called 3 times to inquire and finally one of my two pairs had arrived, but my second pair was lost. I paid over $400 for my glasses and I’ve never had to wait more than a week for glasses, it was over a MONTH to receive them and I had to finally go in to know that they arrived. The lady said, “we get 60 pairs of glasses in a day,” so obviously that means that they don’t have time to call you. This was the first time I’ve ever used them, but it will definitely be the last!
There was an issue with my lenses being put in the wrong frames. Had to go back and had to show the the correct frames and have reordered. Attitude from staff is it's not big deal, this happens all the time, which made me pause a bit. Got a call from Ashley and she was nice, thorough and really was the best person I talked to there. I loved her demeanor and knowledgeable about every related to her career. She fixed all the issues I was having and even followed up with me to make sure everything was working well.
First I want to preface this that the staff were all friendly, but I was mislead and pressured and upsold near the end when it came to paying for the services and glasses. I was told my insurance would cover the price of frames but when I saw the itemized list only AFTER I had accepted to pay (I need glasses ASAP) it only covered half. My family had all received a much favorable experience but with me being the only insured individual I ended up paying a lot more. Upsold on the frames despite not exactly agreeing for carbon upgrade, basic exam was $119 for me and not the $69.99 the rest got. Very shady, they did a lot of talking I just wished they communicated better on what my total amount would have been before being moved over to a card reader to pay a mysterious number. I guess I am partly to blame for getting played.
Pleased with my eye exam for prescription and I worked with Joan in selecting regular glasses and sunglasses. She was terrific with helping pick out styles and measuring. Just picked them up and very satisfied. North Myrtle Beach SC location.
Went into the NMB location today at my wits end with my broken glasses they I had been gluing for 3 months!!!! I was helped by Joan. She was fantastic. She was even able to get my lens into a new frame!!! So now I have an extra pair.!! Great service!! Thank you Joan for taking great care of my glasses.
Great place to get glasses! Janine was super helpful and very personable. I had never been before, but I needed some lenses swapped out real quick. I would definitely go back there when I'm due for new glasses. It's hard to find a place with great customer service anymore and I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. Janine was awesome!
