I know most people don’t love visiting any doctor but I LOVE when it’s time for my annual at America’s Best. I’ve visited this place multiple times and each time I have, the experience is dare I say enjoyable. The second I walk in, I’m greeted by a warm smile from Miss Maddie at the front. The Dr is a sweetheart, always puts me at ease and answers all of my million questions. The tech who assisted me prior, Z was also very accommodating and made my time in the exam room a good time. A nice convo goes a long way. Then there’s Joe, he’s helped me multiple times and he is always informative, helpful and makes sure I get the best bang for my buck. He is extremely pleasant and we’ve shared nice conversations as well. All this goes a long way- I adore the staff here!
This is my first experience here and I am so glad with the customer service that they provided. They were very patient with me and I will recommend this location to all my friends. Laila treated me with so much care and it was spectacular, Job was also so lovely and made me feel so welcomed. Best optical experience I have ever had!
A week or two before I went to this store, I signed up for an eye appointment at 9:10am, and my partner signed up for 9:20am. We got there right at 9:00am, and I was told that I had canceled my 9:10am appointment. I personally did not cancel my appointment and I showed the confirmation texts that I had received, none of which stated that I had canceled the appointment. Someone else had already signed up for my 9:10am appointment, and the staff said there was nothing they could to do to help me. My partner gave me his 9:20am appointment, so he lost his appointment. (I want to also note that the person who took the 9:10am appointment did not come in until about 9:25am, so it was certainly possible for them to take me at 9:10am - I was told there was a 10-minute grace period before an appointment was canceled but that did not seem to apply to this man and his son, who were both helped.) By the time I was given the paperwork to complete, someone with a 9:30am appointment was seen before me, even though I again want to highlight that I was the first person in the store. When I was finally seen around 9:40am, the medical staff was efficient and kind. When the exam was over, I went to pick out some frames for my updated prescription. I was told someone would call for me when available, even though there were 3 people on the floor and only 1 person helping patients at that time. I waited for about 20 minutes - 3 people that had later appointments were being helped while I still waited. I asked a staff member if anyone could help me. I was told to keep waiting until my name was called. Then a woman who appeared to be sitting on her phone realized that she had my paperwork and called my name. At that point, I had been in the business for nearly an hour and half while my partner sat in the car, and I had to leave. I didn't have time to get new glasses, and at that point was so unimpressed with this location's service that I paid full price for the exam so I could leave and never come back. I ordered glasses online for about the cost of the deal that I went to this store for, and got frames that I liked better anyway. Overall, the staff were polite but completely inefficient, so if you are the type of person who likes to get in and get out, this is not the location for you.
Worse company ever.
Do not recommend it.
I went in for some new glasses hoping to get the "offer" the promote so much.
It was all a lie.
They charged me for some exams separately.
I waited 14 days for my first pairs of glasses.
And they came wrong. "LAB ISSUES" they said.
I asked to re-do a full vision test, and they wanted to charge me extra. Because they said I only needed a follow up.
And they assigned me to same doctor who did the prescription wrong on the first time.
Now, the doctor gave a different new prescription. And they said I had to wait for another 14 days.
It took almost 20 days for they to call me and tell me the glasses were ready.
And guess what... The vision wasn't clear AGAIN. And I told them right on the spot.
Of course they suggested to wear them for a few days and allow the eyes to get used to the new graduation.
I followed their words, but it was getting worse. Headaches, eye pain, eye redness, eye dry, etc.
I went back and I said I wanted a full refund because the glasses (or the prescription) are wrong again.
They gave me only a partial refund, bucause the exams they performed are not refundable..
Do, I paid for something they did not do right, 'cuz I can't use any of the prescription they gave me, and they won't refund me for something they did wrong.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY.
NOT WORTH IT.

As soon as I walked I was greeted and I felt very welcome. Laila Anyan the apprentice optician was very welcoming and helpful. She assisted in checking me in as well as taking care of my order. She was very detailed in her explanations and by far exceeded expectations on her customer service. Thank you
First time at America’s Choice in Edgewater and had a fantastic experience! Laila was a rockstar! Super helpful, experienced, and helped us immensely! I would recommend anyone and everyone to come and get their glasses and contact lenses at this location!!
The Eye Doctor at the Edgewater NJ location is outstanding! She is patient, understanding, thorough and explains everything clearly, she was able to come up with a solution for my unique vision challenges. She is the very best!
