I had a very disappointing experience with Mica as a customer. On November 12, 2024, I called to request a pair of trial contact lenses based on a prescription that I had already paid for. During the call, Mica made it extremely difficult for me to obtain the trial lenses. I explained that I had paid for my contact lens prescription but had not received a trial pair, and I expressed my concern about potentially developing headaches. Unfortunately, Mica was unhelpful and repeatedly insisted that my only option was to schedule a follow-up appointment with the doctor.
When I asked her to check if trial lenses based on my prescription were available, she put me on hold for several minutes. Upon returning, she falsely claimed that none were available in the office.
The following day, November 13, 2024, I went in person to pick up my contacts. When I arrived and stated my name, Mica's attitude changed. She asked one of her coworkers to assist me, clearly still upset from our previous phone conversation. While I was being helped, I overheard myself asking the representative if they might have a trial pair of my prescription. Mica interjected, insisting that there were none in the back and that she had checked multiple times. However, when the representative checked, she found a trial pair in less than two minutes. The representative explained that as long as I didn’t open my purchase, I could always return the contacts. While I was relieved to receive assistance, I felt upset and confused by Mica's dishonesty.
Before leaving, I asked Mica for her name in front of several customers and coworkers. She removed her name tag and replied, “Don’t worry about it. You should have remembered our conversation from yesterday.” She then told me to leave her alone and would gladly give me the 1800 number. I was shocked by her response, so I reported her unacceptable behavior to her manager, Joe. This behavior suggests that this is not the first instance of her acting out toward customers. It may be necessary for her to undergo re-training, but given the lies and her attitude, this situation should ultimately lead to her termination.
The people who work here suck except the woman she looks pretty young who does the actual exam no she is great. However everyone else around her sucks at helping a customer out I’ve been there waiting to be helped in person I have to wait for them to finish their whole gossip session before I’m checked out. Who ever works at picking up the phone at the front I want you to know that you suck at your job and should get an easier job because clearly answering the phone is to complicated.
Frances who helped my dad last week. He had great friendly service thats why im here. They know what they’re doing here Lewarren was standing making sure I got the help I needed making sure everything went right The lady who works front desk was very helpful ms Farrah she explained things clearly for me and was super patient with me very friendly and nice always smiling also Joe was super helpful he gave me advise on which glasses were best for me took the time to walk around with me when he didn’t have to this americas best is definitely 100% better than any one I’ve been to this will be my main store from now on!. Will make sure to ask for these workers next time I come back Definitely great people here!
I waited an hour for my exam, when I asked why they weren't letting people know that they were running so far behind they said they weren't running behind and other people weren't complaining. If I showed up an hour late to my appointment, it would be canceled and rightly so. They seemed very disorganized.
America’s Worst. I don’t even know where to begin. From the over 50 minute wait in an empty waiting room/office, the the very unfriendly staff, to the staff member telling me I could not come in with my disabled husband. I am APPALLED at the customer service treatment we received today. It is absolutely absurd to sit and wait for almost an hour while the office remains empty and the staff sit and mingle. We were late getting our kids from school. The service completely sucked. I’m so sad I even gave this place a shot over eye trends across the street. I knew the switch wouldnt be good from the moment I stepped through the door and the guy very rudely asked “what do we need”. I will never come back or refer a single friend or family member. Disgusted is an understatement.
I love this place , as soon as u walk through the door you can feel the good vibes, everyone has a smile and they are ready to help u, my contacts and my glasses came fast too , my favorite place. If u looking for a place where helping you is their priority, America’s best is the place. Thank you!
I strongly advise others to avoid this location. The incompetence and unprofessionalism I encountered make it clear that this is not an isolated issue but likely a systemic problem within this establishment.
I had a deeply concerning and frustrating experience at this location, which I believe reflects significant mismanagement and operational issues. My first visit was on August 8, 2024, and while I received my glasses fairly quickly on August 14, the prescription was completely incorrect. When I returned for a correction, my appointment wasn’t even in their system, and I had to repeatedly explain my situation to multiple staff members, indicating a severe lack of communication and organization.
After finally getting my prescription redone on August 24, I was told it would take two weeks to receive the corrected glasses. Despite the fact that the error was entirely on their end, there was no effort made to expedite the process. I followed up on August 30, and was assured my glasses would be ready by September 6, but when I called on that date, I was informed that they were still not ready.
Things took a turn for the worse on September 9, when, after another follow-up call, I was told the glasses still hadn’t arrived. When I spoke with the manager, she was dismissive, unprofessional, and refused to even check the delivery, stating that they were short-staffed and couldn’t accommodate me. In person, I discovered that the frames were incorrect once again, meaning I would have to wait even longer.
What was most concerning was the unprofessional attitude of the manager, who seemed unwilling to take accountability for the errors and treated me with disregard. Given the multiple mistakes, lack of communication, and poor customer service—particularly from management—I find it alarming that such a business can operate in this manner.
I strongly advise others to avoid this location.
I came in today to fix my glasses since a screw broke :) I've been going to America's best for a few years now! They're very cost efficient and very friendly always! Super helpful! Love the staff! Even cleaned my glasses! Thanks so much!
