I have been going here for years. Have had multiple glasses. My mom and both of my daughters in law go here as well. These ladies in Avon are always so kind and patient. They are honest about a pair of glasses working or not. I never feel pressured while browsing either. Always adjust my glasses when needed as well. Love going here.
I walked into the store mid-morning hoping to purchase a new pair of prescription glasses and get out in about 30 minutes. I had a great person help me within 5 minutes after I chose a pair of frames. Very happy with the professional and friendly service.
this place was partially a great experience! I say that because picking out my frames and getting checked out was absolutely lovely, but the exam was unsettling for more reasons than it being virtual, as dystopian as it is.
During my exam, since it was a telehealth optometrist, there was a pretest associate helping with the exam. She was named Mary I believe. Extremely overwhelmed and told me ALL about how she was in a position she was unfamiliar with and "not supposed" to be in. I felt awful for her but she was incredibly unprofessional and violated a HIPPA law by talking badly about the previous client, while negligently showing his personal information on the giant screen in front of me. Then, continued to tell me which optometrists she thought were bad or good and why. I sat there broodingly and not responding much because I didn't want to know her personal opinions and each time It got too quiet she would loudly sigh and say something backhanded about my silence. Once the doctor called in, everything was fine but she was awful and should be kept at the front desk with minimal alone customer interaction until she learns professional decorum.
But then the exam was done and I got a very good deal. 3 brand new glasses for under $100 is unbeatable.
I just think I'll get my prescription elsewhere next time, someplace where a doctor is conducting my ENTIRE exam and not some poor undertrained old lady who was so nervous she lost her entire filter (seriously, who thought it would be a good idea for her to be in there i can't get over how ridiculous she was)
The virtual exam was fine. The people who you talk to on the phone are always rude. Two weeks after my exam I had to call to see if my contacts ever came in. Then after wearing the same contacts, including no change to the prescription, I'm expected to do a trial pair and after a few days call them back and wait two or more weeks for the supply of contacts.
I really enjoyed my visit here today! It was actually the quickest exam I've had. They are super nice. Debbie made the visit enjoyable. She engaged in conversation and made me laugh. I needed that today. I highly recommend coming here for your next eye exam!
Not going back to them again. Out of the last 3 times I’ve gotten glasses I am only able to wear the second pair. This most recent a few months ago got sunglasses and regular glass with trifocal on them and they are not correct as sunglasses I can’t even wear make me so sick and alignment not correct and I wear regular but only working my 10hrs a day cause I’m so sick from headache from them I can’t handle them all the time. They need better people who know how to align trifocals. Roommate can’t even wear his either ended up getting some from his work that are way better. Sad cause of all the money I paid. Don’t waste your time if you have anything that requires bifocals or more. You won’t be able to wear the glasses and waster your money. $200 sunglasses sitting in case and can’t be used
Had to call FIVE times to reach someone since they wanted to hang up on me on hold every single time
I had double vision in my left eye, came here, dr fixed it, happy days. After a while of wearing contacts I came back with the issue of having my contacts getting blurry and drying out. I asked the dr a question and was told “I don’t know”. I’m sorry I thought that was your job? Another thing, when I was done with my contact exam I was told “hopefully this will fix your double vision” my double vision was fixed and the issue is from the contacts, the optometrist completely ignored all o that and just nodded and smiled me out the door with no answers besides “a change has to be made” wow such great detail and answers from a “professional” what a joke. I’m not driving another 100 miles round trip to be made a fool of I’ll go somewhere else… americas WORST
Went to my appointment to find out they were running two hours behind. They called 22 minutes before my appointment to let me know. I was in the lobby. This is the second time!
