I am totally disappointed with America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses.
Today, 12/18/2024, is the third time that my appointment for an eye exam has been canceled. This is a complete lack of respect for the customer.
I had a completely different image of America’s Best. Unfortunately, I am realizing that this company is not everything I thought it was.
I will have to look for another store that can serve me with respect and a little more consideration than Americas Best Contacts & Eyeglasses.
This is so sad!
Do NOT come here! The employees here are incompetent, disorganized, and don't know how to provide good customer service. I made an appointment for an eye exam and contact lens fitting a month before my wedding, as I wanted the contacts for my wedding day. I assumed they would do the eye exam and contact lens fitting in the same day, as that has been my experience with other eyeglass places. After my eye exam, they had to order the trial contacts before I could take my contact lens fitting class. They told me they would be in less than a week from the order date, but it took significantly longer for them to come in.
When the contacts FINALLY came in, I made an appointment for the contact lens fitting. Apparently they can only do these appointments during the week in the middle of the day, which I was not told prior at any point during the process. Well I work a normal M-F day job so this doesn't work for me. Because it was so important I get the contacts before my wedding, I took some time off work in the middle of the day (which is a big inconvenience and difficult for me to do) to attend the appointment.
When I showed up for the appointment, I waited over AN HOUR without being helped. I watched as the man who was supposed to honor my appointment helped several other customers, ignoring me until I stood up (after an hour) and said I needed to go back to work. He said I would have to reschedule. Well I CANT RESCHEDULE due to having a NORMAL work schedule and already taking time off work to attend this appointment (and not receive service). I asked if I could pick up the contacts without the class and figure out how to put them in myself, as I briefly wore contacts years ago and thought I could figure it out. Nope, not allowed. Not once was I given an apology for the MASSIVE inconvenience I endured. So now I'm out over $100 for trial contacts I never received and didn't have contacts to wear on my wedding day. I will NEVER come here again.
Save your time and go somewhere else. Read the reviews. They are either hit or miss. With me they were a miss. It took me two months from start to finish to get my eyeglasses and contacts due to lack of experience and follow up by management and the employees. When I brought up issues, I was given the name of the General Manager who was never there when I called. I always had to deal with the Store Manager, Thomas, who was virtually useless. I hold him accountable for the lack of follow up by the employees. I had to babysit this process because I never received timely follow up calls regarding my insurance, when samples arrived, etc. When my glasses and contacts finally arrived I never even received a phone call that they came in. I only found out because after 3 weeks of waiting for them I finally called. The manager, Thomas, never even offered explanation why I never received a call and did not apologize. It was a very long and painful process having to deal with them. I would never recommend. I only stuck with them because I was already on the hook with an eye exam.
the workers are so rude. as soon as i walked into the store the worker got angry and started saying to not wear my glasses lower on my nose because it hurts my eyes. my glasses are old and i was trying to buy new pairs. he proceeded to say it was a pet peeve of his which is incredibly unprofessional. this place should get no customers if all the workers are as rude and snappy. with the amount of negative reviews of specifically these workers they should be fired in order for this establishment to ever continue to try making money.
When I came in get my eye exam . The associate was nice but when I head to doctor office . She was rude . She was nice at first but then when she put the eye drops in then have me wait in waiting room for couple minutes I came back she told me she found floaters but I didn't know what that was . I asked n she said just look it up online as doctor u need explain to ur patients bout what they are n what to do for caring eyes . I didn't feel like I was educated on about eyes just bc I put down my health condition . There more questions ask . However after I was done . The associate was nice enough fixed my glasses and ring me up for my 2 new pair . He was so kind and patient . But I hope the doctor get transfer bc that was bad eye exam experience I ever had.
The exam seemed thorough. When it came to placing my order & paying the woman was extremely rude. I left there extremely upset the way I was treated. When I got my glasses they were not effective in helping my vision. I would not return to this location . So I went to another eye care center & got glasses that helped.
The doctor was amazing, she really spent a lot of time with me to get my prescription just right.
I ordered a year's worth of daily contacts on a Saturday and I had the entire order by Wednesday.
Incredible delivery time. Very good experience.
Went to get new glasses, everyone was Great. The woman who did my checkout was awesome, think her name was jackie!
