My husband and I have been going to America's Best for the last several years. (We usually get new eyeglasses every 1-2 years). I have nothing but great things to say about my experiences with them. The doctors listen to my concerns and provide thorough exams, their customer service is "spot on", and their prices and selections are more than reasonable.
They told me that they took my VSP federal insurance and then when it was time to pick out glasses after the exam they informed me that they were not an in network provider and I would have to pay most of the cost. I feel that I was lied to and scammed. I went somewhere else to get the glasses that actually did fully take my insurance.
Went through the exam (which I feel was way too fast to be complete). Since I already wear glasses I figured I would try to get a new pair. I was herded to the area where they sell the glasses. I waited my turn while someone walked in off the street and asked about getting contacts. They proceeded to help this person even though I was patiently waiting for at least 10 minute prior to his entry.
When my turn finally came up, I was asked what frames I was interested in. I showed them my current frames and asked if they could order these exact frames. I was told yes then asked to wait. Upon the techs return he again asked which frames I would like. I again showed him mine and was told they are not able to order anything. Only what they have on the wall.
I'm sure they have done good for some people but I was not impressed with the service or anything about my experience. I will most certainly not be returning to these guys.
Hey guys, I visit America’s best at 267 Creekside in new Braunfels and I have to say the Experience I got there was marvelous and I will tell anyone if you need classes ask for Sarah Our Ambra they were the best experience I’ve had in a long time stop by y’all oh, and let me not leave out Rosa. She’s the manager. She was also excellent.
My husband and I need glasses and contacts so we stopped in today about 1:30pm. We waited for about 5-7 minutes before I had to ask if someone was going to help us! There were 5 employees there, one with a customer, the others just standing around. We were informed that they were too busy to take any more walk ins and that we would have to make an appointment for tomorrow. What?!? It's not even 2pm!! All but one employee were just standing there! Didn't even acknowledge us until I asked them. Not very customer service-y of y'all. Guess you didn't want the $500-1000 we were prepared to spend today. Oh well... We won't be back.
Shout out to Annette. I walked in with little time to spare and a mission to get glasses. She was so kind, efficient and knowledgeable. America's Best should be thrilled to have her on their team. Thank you, Annette.
The America’s Best in New Braunfels is the best store in the area! The staff including Annette, Tina and the manager, Sara were super friendly during my experience. They helped me pick out the perfect pair of frames and made sure I was happy with my choice. The eye exam was quick and easy, and the optometrist explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. Overall, the service was top-notch and the whole process was smooth. Highly recommend checking them out if you need new glasses or an eye exam!
Annette @ the Creekside New Braunfels location has a heart of gold! I had a special young lady in need of eye glasses and Annette stepped up right away. They were able to get her in the same day. I am blown away at the care she showed. I am an insurance agent and will definitely be sending anybody and everyone I know there God bless you!
