Best WLM Reviews

We had a very nice time visiting America’s Best last Saturday. We went in for the free eye exam by appointment. The service was great and we weren’t there for a long time. Once both portions of the exam where done Lexi helped my little brother find 2 pairs of frames that he genuinely liked. She made him feel stylish and like he was “that guy” that left us both feeling thrilled about our visit. We’ll be back in 2 weeks to pick up the frames.
So I’ve been here 2 times and the first time was okay for the price which is why I went back. But I came back my second time 11/15/24 and when doing my eye exam, they told me to get a better look at my eye I had to pay $20 extra charge that the doctor there was going to look at it to make sure I didn’t have any eye disease, etc. but then I watched the doctor click click click through all the pictures and did not even look thoroughly. So my suggestion is no do not pay the extra money because they don’t look at the pictures that they take. It is a scam. Not happy about it and I will be trying to get a refund for that $20. I have no problem paying for anything else but if I’m gonna pay for something it’s going to be for good reason and I’m going to get what I paid for. I feel cheated that’s for sure. Just save your money up and go somewhere more professional, that’s what I’ll be doing next time!
Went there for an exam. Not only did I get charged 200$ when the glasses I picked were on the 2for 79$. Yes I did get blue light block at 40$ but should have not came 200$. They messed up my prescription and need to get redone. The lady who did my eye exam did not know who to work the machine and when I told I was seeing double she ignored me. There are little balls of light all over my glasses as well as my left eye in those glasses I can’t read anything a foot in front of my face. When I brought this to the store manger he told me I could a new exam but I would have to pay for it even tho it was there mess up and I would have to pay to my glasses to be remake. I will never go back. At least they should have give my a free exam and a discount on a remake. But nope I would have to pay full price. Which is why I will be taking my business elsewhere.
I had a good experience at America’s Best and I was seen quickly by the optometrist. They efficiently handled my eye exam and provided me with both a glasses and contacts prescription at a very affordable cost, especially with insurance.
It's clear that they operate on a fast-paced schedule to accommodate as many patients as possible, which can make the customer service feel a bit rushed. However, I found this to be a reasonable trade-off for the convenience of being able to book an appointment almost whenever I needed.
Overall, if you’re looking for a place that offers quick and affordable eye care with the flexibility of easy scheduling, America’s Best is a solid choice. Just keep in mind that the service might feel a bit hurried, but it's worth it for the convenience and cost savings.
This place is a bait and switch mouse house that should be selling used cars instead of eyeglasses. There whole business model is based on 2 pair of eyeglasses with an exam for 79.95. I went to this place on August 1 for an eye exam and 2 pair of eyeglasses. My eye exam went great by a very professional optometrist. I was directed to the wall of eyeglass frames and was told to pick one out and my service rep would be with me next. I picked one out that said 79.95 just like 100’s of other ones. My rep wrote up my order for 79.95 plus my contact lenses exam. They texted me on the 17th to pick up my eyeglasses. When I got there they adjusted them and I said where is the other pair ? They searched all the drawers in the cabinet and turned me to someone else. They looked up my order said I only get one pair because I got a contact lens exam. I pointed to their sign that said the 2 pairs included the eye exam and the last time I got 2 pairs and paid extra for the contact lenses exam. Then they turned me someone else. They got on the computer and said I didn’t buy 2 pairs before. I told her I purchased them from their Hazel Dell store about 10 years ago. She looked up that store and saw I had bought them before. Then she said I must have bought a green tag instead of a blue. I had no clue what she was talking about but if I wanted another pair it would cost another 79.95. I’m still seeing the 2 pair sign so she goes to the wall of frames to find my frames to show me the tag. She spends about 20 minutes with no luck. Then she goes on line to the company website and shows me the frames and says see. I still didn’t get it if I knew I needed a blue tag I would have got 1 they are really boring frames and they all look the same to me. The manager wouldn’t be in till 11:00 so I politely said I would take it up with corporate and left.
So on Monday I call customer service and I was determined because I waited 41 minutes on hold. I finally got a real person and she very sympathetic and apologetic. She seemed very determined to come to a resolution. So back on hold for 20 minutes while she called Chelsea the manager. She is busy and can’t talk right now so if I don’t mind waiting on hold again she will call Chelsea again. After another 20 minutes on hold she said bring in 39.00 and I can get another pair. So I suggested I return her green tag and pick a blue tag that seriously looks just like it. She says I should talk to Chelsea direct and she will have her call me back with in 5 minutes. Great almost done till I get another call from customer service and says Chelsea is going into a meeting and will call me as soon as she gets out. I say fine of course no call all day.
I would not recommend this business under any circumstances. The employees and management are completely incompetent.
I have been in several times recently getting glasses for two of my kiddos. For one we already had the prescription and the other one we did the exam there as well. Everyone was so nice and attentive, you could tell they were busy and everyone was doing a great job multi-tasking and helping each other, making sure customers got taken care of. I was especially impressed by Liz! She helped us order the glasses once we picked the frames on all three visits and was super nice to my four year old, even brought her a popsicle when things were taking a long time! She was super above and beyond!
They were so nice from the moment I walked in and the rep helped me maximize the amount of money from my insurance benefits and helped us get the highest quality out of our order. They were all honest when they felt like certain frames were not a right fit for my face. I really appreciate the honesty. A few days later I called in and asked for an update and the person who answered the phone was extremely helpful and nice. The actual eye doctor was standard procedure and the area seemed clean.
After having a bad experience at another location, I went to the Clackamas location. What an amazing group of employees! They made me feel welcome and answered all my questions. Liz was extremely helpful and made me feel valued as a customer. She went above and beyond to assist me.
