Recently visited my local America’s Best store in Roanoke to take advantage of the Wise promotion they have going on right now. The service and expertise of all the staff was exceptional during my visit. Everyone greeted me with a smile and was super kind. I wish I could remember the names of all the staff I interacted with because I think they all deserve recognition for doing such a wonderful job. I do recall the name of the lady handling my transaction for my new glasses, Annah. She was professional, super sweet, and extremely helpful! I highly recommend visiting this location. Great overall experience and will definitely be coming here in the future for my vision needs.
Office staff were great. All seemed very friendly.
Waited for about an hour and a half AFTER my appointment time to be seen even though people who came in after me were seen within 10-15 minutes. Sat forever while waiting for a dr to connect. Got the exam done, he told me my prescription was weird and that if things didn’t seem better after a weeks to come in and they’d dilate my eyes for free to figure out what I actually needed…. Just called and found out that they can’t even do that at this office. They can in Lynchburg but that’s over an hour away from where I live. So yay. I spent over 2 hours and wasted $80 on glasses that don’t help at all.
Insanely slow. My appointment was at 5:10 and I wasn't giving my eye exam till 5:50. Then you still have to wait for the video cal with the doctor. I would understand if it were busy but I'm 1 of 2 ppl in here
I came here today I set two appointments for my siblings one for 10:30 and 10:50 I believe her name was Joe and she was one of the rudest persons I've ever met. I got told that you have to be over. Age to interpret for your appointment. And I am 17 years old and my mom does not speak english well and I got told that I couldn't interpret her for her. I told her to cancel my appointment cause she couldn't help us. Which I came here a few weeks ago with my dad that he also doesn't speak english well.And we got helped at that time I was not eighteen I was still seventeen which makes no sense that you have to speak english to get some glasses.very disappointed and disgusted
I want to start off by saying the staff at this location was very friendly; however when I gave my insurance info I was told americas best wouldn’t file an out of network claim for me. I have vsp insurance. I stated that americas best use to do that and then asked when that changed. The rep then just stated the 2 pairs promo with exam deal they’ve had for years and said they don’t file out of network claims; however their website currently says they will. I have a screenshot from the website as proof. Either the rep was incorrect or the website is incorrect. Would be nice if someone from americas best could confirm either way.
The office I went to was extremely relaxing and everybody (from the office workers to all of the technicians) was very professional and made my whole experience there comfortable as well as relaxing. I would recommend America's Best to anyone who is currently considering low cost eye examinations and custom eyeglasses.
staff are polite. lacking quality customer service, horrendously unhelpful and zero attempts of any problem solving. don't waste your time or money. ive had multiple poor experiences over several years. i was a member of the care club for a while and it is just not worth the headache and time wasted.
I’ve gone here twice before in the past and they were great, but I’m not sure what has happened. There were two women that work there who are amazing, I wish I knew there names so I could give them credit. Without them, I don’t know if I’d got my glasses or a good exam. There’s two other ladies, I wish I knew their names because they are terrible. They act like it’s annoying that you’re there. I was so nice when I was there. They were supposed to call in a referral for me and call me once they did. I called a few days later because I hadnt received a call back. I was on hold for 23 minutes. Once, she got back on the phone with me, she had an attitude like I was bothering her. I asked about my referral and she asked my name and said someone will call me. I was very polite. A week went by and no one had called me. When I went to pick up my glasses, I was told that I would have to do it myself and then was told someone had. While the nice lady was trying to find out if anyone had, the woman who was supposed to, just sit there and never acknowledged that she knew. I called the place I was referred to and found out no one had called, so I done it myself. The other rude lady, had an attitude while we were on the phone with the doctor and complained about other patients. She also violated HIPAA by having the patient before me, name, date of birth, address, and phone number up on the screen in the exam room. This can lead to ID theft and other things. I hope my information wasn’t left up there. Will not go back. Terrible experience and horrible attitude.
